The Fugazi comparison is dead on. I had no idea what to expect when listening to these guys for the first time and pleasantly surprised in that Fugazi type of way is pretty much the way I felt. They’re a trio, huh? Would never know from the amount of sound they put together.

love this record. great bunch of dudes, and IM TOTALLY STOKED to see someone else draw a fugazi comparison! when I brought it up to mike he looked really, really, surprised by the comment.

The album is so good you can’t start to pick a best aspect of it because everything is well done. I guess I like the drums a lot because they don’t play what you’d expect for a certain riff.

My band played with Tombs back in January, and I got to see them perform in a tiny, cold basement. It was incredible. An unbelievable amount of volume and presence from just 3 guys. The kind of loudness that shakes your clothes around you. Fantastic show, nice guys.

I think this is a pretty good album, but I might have been too hyped up for it. I think I’m disappointed in the end, and it’s my own fault.
