TRENT REZNOR AVERTS CRISIS; STILL COOLEST DUDE EVER
Wednesday, February 25th, 2009 at 4:14pm by Vince NeilsteinI know we keep on saying this, but Trent Reznor is just the coolest fucking dude and he keeps making it impossible for us not to comment. The latest, originally posted by Trent himself on Twitter and picked up by Hard Rock Chick, is a behind-the-scenes video shot backstage during a mid-show power outage that nearly drove the Australian audience to riot. The most interesting parts are the head of security prepping the band for a quick exit in case of riot, and Trent making ad-hoc adjustments to the setlist in case power is indeed restored (which it eventually is). These looks into seemingly mundane moments are what I’ve found most fascinating about following Trent over the past year or so; the man just lets it all out for his fans to see.

Trent kinda looks like Jason Patric there.
What a class act. Seriously, TR is the best to his fans.
Trent Reznor = Genuine Hero.
Trent really is becoming one of the best names in music, for everything he’s doing. The guy really is awesome!
Trent is amazing. My only wish is that they kept the camera rolling a little long. “1,000,000″ is my favorite song off The Slip.
Heh, i was at that show… i didn’t know that NIN had a powerage outage though :s I was too busy having my face torn off by Lamb of God :D
Otherguy,
This was at the Horden Pavilion on Tuesday night, not at the Soundwave Festival on Sunday.
It would have been great if the power had gone out for an hour during their Soundwave set, then I could have gone to see Lamb of God and come back!
P.S. NIN was fucking sick both nights; and the crowd was very cool given the shitty power outage.
I love how he’s always willing to show us behind-the-scene stuff like this, and shares almost anything with the fans (while still be humble enough to retain his privacy.)
TR is an honest fan of music, and so he comes across as very genuine to his own fans.
Wonder what killed the power. I was at the Dillinger gig literally next door the same night & power was solid the whole time. DEP even played March of the Pigs, awesome awesome awesome show.
Have been a NIN fan for over 10 years and he just keeps amazing me. The guy is seriously the hero of music right now, simple as that. Shame he plans on doing only one more leg before retiring NIN for a while.
shit, the man is truly an artist… and the devotion, care and love he gives to his music and fans is infinitely commendable.

So far, there’s 1,000,000 and Burn (and the power outage)
