As part of our ongoing effort to bring you the best live metal for your dollar, I’m proud to announce on behalf of everyone here at MetalSucks that’ll be sponsoring The Human Abstract’s headlining trek this Spring. 2006’s Nocturne announced THA as one of the most exciting prog-metal acts on the scene today, a status which last year’s Midheaven only expanded upon. And if you think that shit’s impressive on record, you’ve GOT to see them do it live – it is 100% guaranteed to induce orgasm. Please please please get this tour to come to VA!! And on the weekend!!! I have been wanting to catch IWABO for over a year now but every time they come it is on the week and three hours away. I am have a thing called school and parents so i can’t catch these shows that are three hours away on a wednesday. I know you guys got your right hand in where those shows go just get one at Richmond on a Saturday! Is that to hard to ask?

Not so sure about the other acts, but will coming out to see THA headline, especially since there is a Long Island show. Nice.
Yeah, it’s more realistic for Axl and Vince to RESCHEDULE AN ENTIRE TOUR ITINERARY that they SPONSOR, as if they were the fucking tour managers, to meet your needs. And for MetalSucks to sponsor this deal, I would hope there are enough individuals who actually possess the faculty to attend these shows (however lamentably that they were made to fall on yes, a weekday.) It’s not like bands sit around and conspire against people in certain cities. They are fucking musicians, and they are dirt poor.
They are just trying to make a living, playing in venues that supported them the last time they came around. They can’t play anywhere they please, and promoters certainly aren’t going to just go out on a limb in these times on a bad investment. Touring today takes a lot of balls, and I have immense respect for bands still willing to gamble on this economic catastrofuck with their own livelihoods.
Whether you have the guts to risk being grounded (always a metal thing to do) just to check them out is your own decision. If not, there will always be other opportunities, should you liberate yourself from the heavy hand of parental expectation. As for me, I’m going to see Carcass in two weeks. On a Monday. And I killed my parents when I was 15. Looks like I’m good to go!

Definitely there. Shame because the Donkey is a pretty shitty venue, but it’s not like there’s a lot of others to choose from. I’m just thankful its so close to home for me.
I’m most excited for Vanna. They’re fucking awesome guys who don’t get enough coverage, I think. Not the typical Metalsucks fan favorite, but they put on a fucking brutal live show.
No ND or MN dates…. =(

I’m with Garske, mainly on the MN point but I do on occasion make the trek to Fargo for shows. MN seems te get shafted a lot lately but at least Mastodon Kylesa and Intronaut are coming in april
