I love motley crue. They’re one of my favorite bands. I even went to see them live.
But holy crap, The rest of the bends on the tour make me want to knock some shit into nikki sixx. Ugh.

I saw CRUEFEST Saturday night, 8/29 here in Atlanta and they KICKED MAJOR ASS! SORRY, SOME OF YOU posters ON HERE DISAGREE. They are ROCK ROYALTY, ROCK ICONS and MAJOR ROCK GODS. THese guys clawed their way to the top and did not just go on AMERICAN IDOL. The are not some fake band that one a tv show…… Nikki Sixx had a dream and made it happen. At the time, there WAS NO OTHER BAND that looked like them and sounded like them.. Their songs have stood the test of time and still sound fresh and relevant to this day. Motley Crue is ONE OF THE ONLY GROUPS to own their MASTER RECORDINGS. When ROCK MUSIC HISTORY takes a look back, NIKKI SIXX will be highly revered. He is the CROWN JEWEL in Rock music. He deseves many accolades and MANY GRAMMYS But the industry may not give it to him and Motley Crue but he sure as hell deserves the recognition. Nikki Sixx is an intelligent, well spoken and ARTICULATE man. Motley Crue may have been the BAD BOYS OF HOLLYWOOD back in the day….BUT now they are ROCK ICONS. AND they sure as hell deserve to be in the ROCK IN ROLL HALL OF FAME! With the exception of OZZY OSBOURNE, nobody and I MEAN NOBODY has lived the Rock STAR life as these guys have…….”when you have tasted EXCESS, everything else is bland”…..to quote Mr. Sixx. Respect ihas been earned by these guys who clawed and scratched their way LITERALLY to the top. AND The Crue has ALWAYS been about the FANS. That is WHY I AM PROUD TO BE A CRUEHEAD. And THAT is why MOTLEY CRUE HAS SUCH A DIEHARD LOYAL FAN BASE.

MOTLEY CRUE = ROCK ICONS + ROCK GODS = LEGENDARY ROCK BAND

THERE IS NO OTHER. PERIOD. If you don’t like it, well then f off.

haha, i thought ignorance was only rampant in politics, but hey this is real life, even in music theres a lot, I think you are just jealous the crue makes 1000000 times more money than you ever will, plus ibviiuosly you dont know nothing about motley crue because even if they were shitty, you dont make sense cause the show itself is pratty unique show, bigger than anyone else, or maybe you are also against pyro laser and housands lights and watts at their maximun. people get so impresed when they see crue live they are just mouth watering, i know , you will prbabaly say its rednecks that get impressed, then i guess disney laser show which are not half as incredible are for rednecks too hehehe, maybe you just need to start thinking a little

This lineup is horrific, and crue is the worst band on the list musically, imo. Apparently, they tried getting better bands, but were consistently refused b/c no one of any credentials wanted to be associated with crue, so nikki basically makes his d rate bands from the d rate label he is “president” of ( it’s symbolic, the real president actually has a business degree and knows how to spell, unlike nikki, don’t believe me check out his blogs, the guy’s an idiot ). crue’s been on a serious downward spiral for years, they’re only embarassing themselves, esp. nikki, by trying to beg and scratch for any attention they can get from the few mullet wearing meth heads, and emotionally desperate washed out old groupies. At least it’s around to make fun of. They should’ve called it poofest.

everytime I see the fucking name godsmack, I hear that “I, stand alone” part of their song in my head cd quality perfect, like their name gets mentioned, and that no talent fuck singer guy pops up in the back of my head singing the chorus of whatever that song is, and for a split second, the thought crosses my mind to end it. I mean a friend once asked me, If you had a choice, only listen to godsmack or nickelback for the rest of your life, which would you do? my answer was suicide. (true story) but then I remember mastodon is coming out with a new record and its cool…

Meh, Godsmack’s first two albums were quite solid. Haven’t cared much for anything after that. I agree with SP420 though: you guys shouldn’t be talking shit based on the tours you’ve been endorsing as of late.

Weston, a lot of us like music that doesn’t always involve harsh vocals, but Sucking Abel, Theory of a Deadsuck, Hinder and all those other grunge revival ‘Nickelback Ripoff’ bands really are terrible, there are songs by those 3 bands I listed that I honestly can NOT tell the difference between…they sound WAAAY too much alike. (waits for reply that all bands that scream sound the same)

Godsmack is decent in small doses, but at the end of the day they are just a 4th rate Alice in Chains with Down Syndrome.

There’s still a few decent rock/metal bands out there on the radio, Queens of the Stone Age, Disturbed, Foo Fighters, Avenged Sevenfold, Muse, and Shinedown are all the opposite of what you described as ‘growly shit music,’ but they don’t suck NEARLY as much as the bands on this tour.

Way to stay a slave to the mainstream, buddy…

Godsmack started strong, and were always great to see live, but they’ve been going through the motions for the past few years. Any thought of them distancing themselves from that middle of the road crap music is gone if this rumor turns out to be true.

A lot of people understand melody and pop song structure without wanting to use them. Listen to Erik Rutan’s guitar solos, very melodic, often carrying repeated melodies.

Once again you guys have to bag on success. This tour is gonna make more money than we can fathom because the bands on the bill are all successful as far as rock bands go. Just because the leads actually sing and they use a bit of rythme and harmony in their songs doesn’t make them hacks. You guys ever wonder why band like soulfly and hate eternal never garner any commercial success? Because in reality their music fucking sucks… I would like to stand up and thank Godsmack, Theory of a Deadman, and Saving Abel because without them making their style of music (the kind that actually gets played on the radio) rock/metal would be even more shit canned than it already is. Fuck all of you who don’t like anything but growly shit music.
