VIDEO FOOTAGE FROM AN ALTERNATE UNIVERSE IN WHICH KERRY KING WAS A MEMBER OF PANTERA
Wednesday, March 11th, 2009 at 3:00pm by Axl RosenbergSo it’s a slow news day. I mean we’ve gotten some press releases but nothing really exciting.
So a-sniffin’ around YouTube I did go, and I found this pretty cool footage of Kerry King playing three songs with Pantera on two separate occasions.
First up is a rendition of “Raining Blood” from 1989.
Next we have “South of Heaven,” from the same performance.
Finally, we have “Fucking Hostile.” I’m not entirely sure what year this was – I’d guess the early Aughties, based on Phil Anselmo’s appearance and the fact that the description of the video claims that this was last time that King and Dime ever shared a stage.

Slow news day, Axl? How about posting another Soundscan update. Let us know how your boys, Lamb Of God, did in their second week.
Ha! Diamond Darrell!
First vid was before King was fat and tatted, Darrell was, well, alive and Rex was Rex no. 18 on the Jim Rome Rex streak.
Bizarre. Interesting. But bizarre.
Great Anselmo-ism in the last video:
[In reference to “Fucking Hostile”): “Ok, no more bullshit, you know this next song as good as you know your old lady’s pussy.”
That last video i’m thinking is either from Ozzfest 2000 or that tour that Pantera, Slayer, Static-X, and i forget who else did together (Morbid Angel, maybe?) in about 2001.
yeah, the last video is from the extreme steel tour in 01.
That last one is from Anselmo’s “I’m obvious strung out on heroin” days from the beginning of the decade.
