SHRED MY FACE OFF

But a favorite pastime of mine is watching the facial expressions of one-man shred guitar virtuosos. Here, Rob Marcello of Danger Danger gives us some choice nuggets. Pain, bad-assery, confusion, surprise, indifference, anger, mouthing the notes, it’s all there. The best is the sequence from 1:15 to 1:25; the eye-roll followed by the horns, followed by a nod to the Asian dude mysteriously perched on the side of the stage. Priceless.

as a guitar player (one that will never be as good as guys like this) i respect the fuck out people who “shred” but it seems kind of dumb to me. it just seems like a stupid competition so see who can one up the next person. not to mention their fucking stupid ass guitars and painfully embarrassing clothes. most of these guys seem like complete tools who just happen to be good at guitar (not trying to call this guy out or anything) just my 2 cents.
and someone please explain that dude on the side of the stage. so awkward. hahaha
