Holy crap, people are getting The Infection tats already? That’s fucking devotion.
ANYWAY, here’s some cool Chimaira shit you should know about:
- Guitarist Rob Arnold has given Blabbermouth a track-by-track breakdown of The Infection. Speaking of new single “Secrets of the Dead,” Arnold says that “Chris Spicuzza shines on this track as he conducts a circuit board symphony from behind his station.” Read the entire thing here.
- Keyboardist/sampler/hype man Chris Spicuzza has given an interview to a French website called Rock ‘N Balls. My French sucks, so here’s Babel Fish’s attempt to translate an excerpt for me:
Sponge: All d’ access, how are you? At two months of the exit of your new album “The Infection,” in which state d’spirit are you? Summers entrusting to you, and l’ is album with the height of your waitings?
Chris Spicuzza: As always, the months which precede the exit d’ a new album are filled d’ excitation and d’ hope! All are thought that our last album “Resurrection” was very solid, and this one l’ is as much, if not more. We created an album which does not resemble to date nothing known, and which also maintains all l’ integrity of Chimaira.

I love the track by track breakdown. This album is going to set a new mark for Chimaira and hopefully get them more recognition as one of the great metal bands of today. I can’t wait to see them live again!

I guess this fan has never heard to saying that you shouldnt get a band tattoo cause then they will break up…

it happened with me…….
(i got our band logo tattoo, and then got kicked out along with 2 other members…. after a few months down the track)
and i dont regret it either because it reminds me to never listen to nu-metal.
that, and never to wear make-up (the prettying kind)
and plus dude if that saying worked for fans…….
i’d get real small tatts of g-unit and pop bands in my ass cheeks or something.

Ofcourse people are getting Infection tattoos already. The logo combines Chimaira fan’s two favorite things. A.)Chimaira and B.)Tribal tattoos.
And I’m sorry tattoo know it all, but you getting your nu-metal bands logo tattoo’d on you and then getting kicked out is fucking hysterical. I’m not that sorry though, because you just admitted to wearing make up.
hey razorsharp, sorry i never made things clear….. i never wore make-up, and when i started in the band it was a thrash metal band, then the two guitarists and the drummer started wearing make up at gigs… and the guitarists swapped 6’s for 7’s strings….
they even asked me to tone down the screaming and add melodic singing and rapping.
i was the fucking dude chugging jugs-o-beer and screaming at the pits, getting everyone fired up!
also i think they were jealous cos i got more gals. haha.
i love chimaira i want the new album more than teenager want to get laid.
i want to see chimaira live again because i have never seen so many sweaty dudes moshing, headbanging, singing etc. at one time. one dude had a heart attack at a show in dallas because of the bass.
can you name any bands that can do that.

exactly my thoughts dude. this band is very recent HAHA. like present….
its funny too because when i was in the band we had a more of an adult human following, and then i saw a “video” that they made and the crowd look alot younger and not to mention zombified (by how “heavy” they are). haha
I couldnt be happier either now that i have jammed with countless cool people and have an awesome crust/punk/thrash/blackened project going on…. haha (made of rats – Myspace) and we drink plenty-o-beer!
