I’ve had the pleasure of following parts of Erik Rogers’ career since Stereomud. I can tell you that Erik is truly talented and a gifted songwriter. Joey Z had influence on the overall sound, but the heart of the band IMHO was Erik.

I wish the metalsucks guys would be able to do this more often. “What is ‘this’?” you might ask. “This” is liking a GOOD band despite it not fitting into the current, trendy, tiny range of “acceptable” bands that metal fans are expected to like.

Enjoy music for the music.

(But, yes, this is tarnished by the fact that they shit talk bands are as good as, if not better)

For the record, I have never owned a Stereomud album. And the last album I bought was Earthsblood and not just to get Metalsucks “street cred”. :D

Oh wait, I also bought Clint Lowery’s acoustic solo EP. I’d say that makes me a pussy, but all y’all at the Metalsucks Palace like 7Dust (which I just don’t get).
