IF IT’S HOT IN HERE, IT MUST BE SUMMER SLAUGHTER

So the line-up for Summer Slaughter – a.k.a. the big summer package tour that isn’t Ozzfest, Mayhem, Warped, or Sounds of the Underground (R.I.P.) – has been announced, and, pretty much as expected, it’s totally solid. Yes, there are a few bands on the bill I don’t care for (I’m looking at you, Winds of Plague), but the presence of co-headliners Suffocation and Necrophagist, plus Darkest Hour, Origin, Born of Osiris, Dying Fetus and Blackguard pretty much guarantees this will be a day (well, late afternoon at least) worth your time and money. Especially since, unlike the aforementioned summer fests, this one plays smaller venues and comes at a cheaper price.
Also kind of advantageous: you’re basically just dealing with death metal on this tour. So… you pretty much know if you’re the audience or not for this tour.

In middle school I saw Slaughter in the summer of ‘91 with Poison. It was great!

Only scene kids and dm fans with shit taste ever go to this tour. A bunch of metalcore bands, two tech death and one wigger slam band do not a “death metal” tour make.

I’m excited, I really hope it comes back to Boise. I missed it last year due to work.
But seeing Darkest Hour (again), Necrophagist (again), Beneath the Massacre (again) and Dying Fetus (again) and knowing they tear it up live makes this tour worth it alone.
It’s a trade off between Ensiferum and Decrepit Birth. Doesn’t matter which end of the tour you see, you will not be disapointed (unless Born of Osiris and Winds of Plague are on stage)

That’s pretty nuts. I actually heard an unofficial version of this (sans Ensiferum, Darkest Hour, and Blackguard) and was excited. Tour dates soon?

This does not fit the bill for Ensiferum……..Winds Of Plague? Hardcore dancers? damnit. lmao. only reason i’d go is for Ensiferum
