In an interview Gene Simmons said something to the effect of Vinnie played too much with his hands, its like he was kicked out of kiss for playing TOO WELL. Eat shit and die gene you greedy attention whoreing fuck!

I love the VV era of KISS. Vinnie was the strongest songwriter they ever had in the band. And it amazes me to no end that a guy who’s such a gifted songwriter and riff monger is so unstructured and careless with his lead playing. The Invasion album was full of incredible tunes…too bad he ruined them all by soloing over them himself.

That dual color background in the first video is horribly mesmerizing. The second video reminds me of Jake E Lee’s over-the-top live solos with Ozzy.

What makes matters even more interesting is the fact that he CAN write good songs. The songs he wrote with kiss are some of their best.
