ive never under stood why people hate on bands and say things like that… IWABO are just dooing whats fun for them to play. THe things Steven plays are strange and all over the place but its just what he likes to play. i love IWABO im from thier local scene and i dont see why they embarass you to listen to heavy music… and how do you say they are not musicians??? really thats a low blow. the flow from chaotic riffs to sing song shit is pretty amazing and not everyone can work music like IWABO has mannage to. … oolooook

And to all the others who talk about this band being “trendy”,I don’t think any of you could clearly define for me what “trendiness” really is.Even if you used IWABO as an example of a trend,then wouldn’t you contradict yourself in the process?I mean let’s be honest,don’t we all have our own trend?You know,our own way of doing things and changing ourselves in reaction to events that take place in our lives.Isn’t metal a trend?Isn’t this website a trend?Aren’t I a trend too?

A trend is defined in many if not all world dictionary’s as a general tendency to change or a tendency to move;an oriented direction (i.e. the trend of the economy or the stock market.So I figured we all had our own trends,otherwise we are immutable beings which is clearly false.So in conclusion,what’s so wrong about this band being a trend of it’s own?

IWABO are okay. The polished version of “Tastes Like Kevin Bacon” is much better than the demo version.

But come on, “awesome album art”? That looks like an 8th grade art project. I guess we can add IWABO to the list of bands MetalSucks will eternally kiss up to (God Forbid and Lamb of God being in the list beforehand).

In a world filled to the brim of long hair and black t – shirts, is it really being trendy? Or is it trying to be different? I have been out of the highschool horseshit for a long time . . .

I do not want to be “bad ass” I do not want to be “cool” I do not want to be “trendy” and I do not want to be “trve” or “kvlt” nor do I want to be considered “interesting and charismatic”.

I am a full time worker and student and in my spare time I listen to bands like Aborted, Suffocation, Cannibal Corpse, Carcass, Origin, 1349, Sargeist, Gorgoroth, etc. AND I listen to IWABO, because all those bands all have one thing in common . . . They make me happy and thats all that should matter.

I think Reaper-X is the most sensible of us here. He hits nails on their heads here. FUCK IWABO. I’d be willing to bet that when MySpace finally finishes, IWABO will break up around the same time.

I bloody hate the first version of ‘Tastes Like Kevin Bacon’, but the final album version is even worse.

all of these posts remind me of my philosophy of religion class,where everybody always has something to say and the conversations we have never go anywhere significant.Everybody has their own point of view on this band and,personally,I think we are all thinking a little too critically on this for the sake of minor reasons (scene kids,emo-core hype) that really shouldn’t matter to us as far as our taste in music goes.If something like “popularity” is really going to change your opinion of a band regardless of whether you like them or not,then I think that we start to take the fun out of just enjoying music.

Now for my opinion…I like them.

This band is for people who like to pretend that they’re interesting and charismatic.
Those who really have no personality of their own and they’re much like all the other brightly coloured clones with brightly coloured myspaces.

This is the equivilent of someone who hates rap, but likes “Butterfly” by Crazy Town and anything by Limp Bizkit.

They normally don’t like anything remotely sounding metal. (In this case, only the distorted guitars and double bass pedals count.) but It’s got a girl, and a bunch of images of trendy scenester shit all over it. So they get this, along with their Tegan and Sara CDs.

Fuck this band, fuck this bands fans and fuck the people that this band caters to.
