Mustaine accounts for his absence from the HOF awards ceremony and his exclusion from the honors; also, he briefly and vaguely discusses his inclination to settle old disagreements. (In reference to the latter, Slayer was mentioned specifically.)

The feud between King and Flynn was after Machine Head released Supercharger and King criticized MH for making a Rap Metal album and criticized Flynn’s rapping as well I think. He said something like “I can’t believe I once thought they were a metal band”, and “Had no integrity left.” To which Robb Flynn said something like “Oh, Mr. Sum 41 video cameo thinks we don’t have any integrity left”

As much as Supercharger sucked (with the exception of Crashing Around You), Flynn was right. How the hell can someone who played on a sum 41 song, appeared in their video, and played on a Beastie boys track, criticize someone for making a subpar numetal album.

Needless to say they ended it in ’04 when they were doing the European festival run after Through the ashes of Empires came out.

I think it has a good chance of being Metallica’s North America tour, since they haven’t announced opening acts yet as far as I know. But Eric’s idea of Megadeth/Slayer with Down would be ridiculously badass.

i wonder if his use of “potential” is a mistake, as obviously that would imply a feud doesnt exist yet. maybe he meant “one of the feuds potentially going away for good”.

if it was metallica, id imagine they would have announced it well in advance of the tour going on sale, as it would be a major selling point. wouldnt really be fair to fans to announce that shit after the shows have already “sold out”.

if it was slayer, it would sorta make sense that he couldnt say anything, as they are doing the mayhem tour, and im sure there is a proximity clause in their contract for the tour preventing them to announce any other shows that would affect the draw.

It was prety much a bunch of “he said, she said” with King and Flynn. You can find the links on blabbermouth, they date back to like 2002 mayb 2001. seriously. Then they both stopped bashing each other in the press and around fall of 07 they finally met up in person and everything is cool.

Mustaine was invited to the HOF but was touring Europe with Judas Priest. If Metllica and Megadeth play the Garden together, I think I may have to whore myself out to score tickets. However, as dates haven’t been announced, I must speculate that it will be Slayer and Megadeth, both of whom have new albums due in the next several months. Needles to say, its a step up for Slayer, after ANOTHER tour with Marilyn Manson despite the 6 or 7 decent acts playing earlier in the day. Also, consider that the record is being done with the new guys and Mustaine has said that he feels this is one of the tightest lineups the band has ever had. I still really want to hit up Metallica at the Garden, but I’m thinking Axl has this one hit on the head.

BTW, does ANYONE know what the beef was between King and Flynn? No one I’ve ever asked has been in the know about it. Enlightenment, please?

Well, Heres the deal, metallica tix for the garden, (biggest venue of the american tour) go on sale tomorrow at 11 am. Metallica have anounced no spport acts for any dates watsoever on the us tour. Megadeth hav no tour dates for us yet. One can only hope that MEatllica are going to grab mustaine and his new version of megadeth and have the greatest tour ever. Why this wont happen = metallica and dave as cool as thye say they are now, mustaine mentioned in an article that he didnt go to the HOF ceremoney because metallica wasn’t inducting him, there fore i odubt mustain will give up this bs crusade he has and do it an di doubt metallica would invite him, so even though that tour would make myself and many others cream their pants, i aint running to get no toiletpaper anytime soon.

to attackmole: You do have a point on Kerry King, but lets not forget he and Robb Flynn from Machine Head also settled their beef and its all good between them to. I know Tom Araya had some sorta feud with Mustaine goin too. It could be Suicidal Tendencies cuz him and Mike Muir had some shit boilin up back at Clash of the Titans. I was thinking possibly Down but their gonna be making a new album soon so i think not on them
