The album still doesn’t have a title SEE BELOW but it’ll be out June 30 on Roadrunner.
UPDATE: So according to a press release we just received, the title of the new Killswitch Engage album is… Killswitch Engage. This is technically the band’s second self-titled release after their 2000 offering released by Ferret. Hm.

That was actually a joke, I’ve always hated the first album, and I WANT to like the new one. I pray it will be better than the last batch of recycled tunes from the recording session for The End of Heartache. As Daylight Dies was KSE’s answer to Children of Bodom’s “Are You Dead Yet?”

The singer’s got a great voice, and it’s a nice contrast from my usual Deathcore.
But it’s all Personal choice until you bring in the conflict of originality, then the shit hits the fan for the poser metalheads.

How was that post in any way angry? Do you have a reading disorder? I know it will suck based on three things. KSE’s musical talents have been heading downhill since Heartache, and it’s blatantly obvious they’re not coming back. The artwork is an uninspired rip off piece of trash that they stole from Animosity. And they couldn’t even come up with a title? So they just re-used one they already had? How, in any way, is that artistically talented? And I’m not angry that they’re popular dumbass, I’m angry that they decided to write watered down easy to digest music that propelled them into the spotlight instead of actually writing something worthwhile.
As far Adam D’s guitar playing, I don’t care how good of a player he is, I care about his ability to write music. And I don’t care about Howards “unique” voice either, none of that had to with anything I said. I can name plenty of vocalists I’d much rather listen to.

Yeah, that’s kinda bad that they’d get compared to A7X like that, who ran their course a long time ago (and btw, if you wanna talk “teeny bopper shit”, look at that; A7X is just as generic as a band like Mudvayne or Staind now, who you hear every time you turn on the radio). All we have to do is pray that KSE doesn’t go downhill by that measure, unless you say they hit rock bottom when As Daylight Dies came out because they were able to expand their fanbase by a lot because they integrated pop elements into their music instead of keeping it balls-to-the-wall metalcore continuously.

ITS NOT TRUE! Killswitch is trying to do something new, and that’s what counts. true artists learn from their past, and expand on their knowledge and try new sounds and emotions for the future. They’re in a position like Metallica was for St. Anger and Death Magnetic is all – except the preceding album As Daylight Dies doesn’t suck, and even if you argue it does it isn’t nearly as terrible as St. Anger. Whether or not this new album will sound like everything else they have done or will suck is impossible for anyone to say, but i highly doubt these guys will let themselves get swept away on the same lvl that A7X has. Hands down, KSE is an amazing band (Grammy nominees, cmon!) and will grow to the times, and that alone stands as a testament as to how influential they are in the music industry (maybe all that bullshit gangsta rap will learn the positives of having actual instruments in their canon, and the tides of pop will actually turn to some talented shit for once, which hasn’t happened for decades). Just because you’re at the forefront of the scene or use some typical song structure doesn’t mean you’re baked, unoriginal, gay or teeny-bopper — it just means you have power that no one else has.
