Throwdown was sick of being compared to Hatebreed, now its Pantera, watch the next record is strait up Death Metal and everyone compares them to another genre headlining band. It must suck to finally make it in the music buisness and numerous people call you rip offs. I dont know, i really dont care. They make me bob my head and Godspeed, the final track on Venom and Tears, is a great song.

I can only hope it sounds like Pantera. There will never be another Pantera which is a god damn tragedy..I hope they sound as much like pantera as possible. I love Throwdown’s old stuff… well I liked it… But i fuckin loved Venom and Tears, mainly because it is the closest thing I will ever hear to a new Pantera album…

dude, throwdown used to own as a sick hardcore/metalcore band when they had haymaker and vendetta what sick albums…but venom and tears? WTF is that shit…I;m sure deathless will sound exactly like v&ts…and to compare them to pantera is an insult

Basically, this band used to break dicks off, then there was a lot of member shuffling. Then they got a shitty producer for the last album that overproduced the hell out of it and crafted it into a Pantera-esque sound. I do not like Venom & Tears at all really, but their stuff before that is righteous. They used to be a hardcore band and they played with superguitars. Now they are something else and use the same guitars as everybody else.

Not to shit on anyone, but are Pantera and Metallica such long words that we can’t even type them out fully? I want to punch someone when I hear them say ‘tallica, cause is adding “Me” to the word so difficult? And ‘tera? C’mon. Pantera…..Metallica……..sorry for being a dick, but you’re not typing something lengthy or unworthy of having the whole name typed. Come up with stupid names for bands like Bring M the Horizon or Bullet for my Valentine.
