TRAILER FOR ROB ZOMBIE’S H2
Friday, April 24th, 2009 at 5:12pm by Axl Rosenberg…and any hope I had that this might be better than Rob Zombie’s Halloween just went right out the fucking window.
Michael Meyers doesn’t have mommy issues. He’s also not a hillbilly. Both of those traits describe Jason Voorhees just fine, but not Michael Meyers. Congratulations, Rob, you are now doing sub-Platinum Dunes work.

im still gonna see it. BTW his wife is a fucking babe!!
Rob Zombie is an awesome art director, but let’s face it — he’s not a writer or director at all.
Rob Zombie makes some great movies… BUT…
Rob Zombie makes shitty Halloween movies.
Does he have to put his wife in EVERYTHING he makes? Looked pretty cool until you see her with the white hair wtf.
I’m still going to watch this, but I will make sure that I don’t put any money in anyone’s pocket for this movie that looks like it might be almost as good as Pootie Tang.
Fuck this movie!
this will be fine and will have some decent jolts
the originals were kind of shitty, y’know
Rob Zombie is a good director, House of 1000 Corpses and The Devil’s Rejects are some of my favorite movies. His Halloween movie I thought was great. I respect the classics don’t get me wrong, but those kind of movies don’t work anymore.
Not for nothing, the Halloween sequels mostly sucked, I think a remake of where the story would go on from the first Halloween is interesting. Hopefully Sid Haig will have a part in this movie as well
It doesn’t matter how many shitty sequels were made, and Rob Zombie’s absolutely appalling remake certainly doesn’t matter either. The only Halloween flick that does matter is John Carpenter’s original.
what ted said…
lol
I’m going to agree with Ted on this one as well. Zombie did a horrible job with the first Halloween. It seemed so rushed and the spotty acting (not to mention 12 obvious onscreen mistakes and who knows how many less noticeable ones) ruined the movie. It could have worked….really it could have…but it didn’t. Plain and simple. This looks to be further down the wrong path. I’ll stick to the original.
Yeah, well, I’m going to have to disagree with Ted. Sorry, you’re not a true horror fan if you can’t see the merit of the remake. It’s the second best Halloween movie ever made, at the very least. The original was great for it’s time, an obvious classic, but it was by no means perfect. So, stop putting shit on this fucking high pedestal like it was handed down by God himself. If people like you morons had your way, we never would have gotten Carpenter’s The Thing. Grow up and accept the fact that both can exist without causing the universe to cave in. Otherwise you’re just pathetic.
I agree with Ben. Could have been a lot worse. It could have been about a company that makes killer masks.
To Ben-dude.the difference is that Carpenter’s The Thing was a great remake.Rob Zombie’s Halloween is a piece of shit.If you can’t tell the difference than your the fucking moron. That’s it,that’s all.
Sturgis. In my assessment, The Thing is a great film and the Halloween remake is just good. Unlike a lot of morons on the internet like yourself, I understand that there are varying degrees of quality. Not just TEH UBER AWESOMEST and PIECE OF SHIT My point regarding The Thing was about people who bitch about remakes in general and say that none should be remade and that a movie being remade does not ruin the original in anyway.
Also, people who don’t know the difference between “your” and “you’re” are the real fucking morons, Sturgis.
Don’t quite know what to say about the spelling mistake Benny-boy,but it was four in the morning. You really like that word ”moron” don’t you?Is everybody who doesn’t like the movies you do a”moron”?I don’t think anyone was complaining about the fact that Zombie’s Halloween was a remake. They were simply stating the obvious fact that it’s a truly dreadful movie. If you don’t agree so be it-but it doesn’t mean I’m gonna call you a ”moron” because your opinion is different than mine.”Real horror fans” as you call them don’t always have to agree.Cheers.
If you want to pretend it was a spelling mistake as opposed to you not knowing proper word usage, whatever.
Also, the usage of the word moron was continued by you. I used it once, you continued it, I figured I’d continue to perpetuate the trend, that’s all. By the way, make up your mind, you say that you wouldn’t call me a moron if my opinion was different than yours. However, in your first response, you did just that… oh, wait… you actually wrote, “fucking moron.” Sorry, that’s a big difference. My mistake.
Lastly, when things go from differing opinions to… yes… again… MORONIC statements is when things that are opinion are expressed as “obvious fact.” If someone came to me with some valid reasons for why they didn’t like Zombie’s Halloween I’d be willing to have a discussion about it. Instead, we get a bunch of people bitching that either a)it’s been changed or b)it wasn’t changed enough or c)it should never have been made. It becomes MORONIC when it becomes obvious that people only hold certain views because it’s what’s expected of them. 90% of so called “horror fans” probably couldn’t even give reasons why Halloween was so great. Or why they think the remakes sucks beyond bullshit fallacies. They just say so because they’ve been told that so and they need to regurgitate what they think they’re supposed to.
So, learn to comprehend other peoples’ statements and learn to get your own straight and then maybe we can “cheers.”
p.s. Using passive aggressive insults to try to pad weak attempts at making a point, such as referring to the person you’re talking to with terms like “Benny-boy” is really pathetic. Say what you mean, like a grown up, instead of doing so in an underhanded way with the assumption that the person you’re speaking to won’t be able to address such insults. That’s some really maladjusted, middle school bullshit.
Dude, life is just too short. To actually sit and write such a long-winded,boring response to my post is flattering, but really, who has the time? And to think-all of this began over something as inconsequential as Rob Zombie’s Halloween.Buddy, you have become tiresome.Time to move on.
Ben’s got a point.
I’m trying to figure out where Axl’s idea that Michael Myers is a hillbilly in this trailer came from. I love this site but man it is so painfully obvious that you guys see things just a little bit differently than most people a lot of the time. Myers is a hillbilly in this trailer and Ken Susi wrote a song about candy that has over the top sexual overtones that werent really there. What videos are you guys watching????
I don’t think anyone could argue against the fact that the horror genre (atleast in this country) has been on the ropes for quite some time now. They’ve re-made pretty much every classic and quite a few that had no business being made in the first place. Zombie’s hackneyed and clumsy revisitation of 70’s kitsch/exploitation was forgiveable because it was at least an attempt to re-envision something in a creative way, but I think that this whole Halloween series is one of those ideas that sounded great on paper, but should have been left there. Yeah, I wanted to know about Michael Myer’s backstory in more depth…and I got it, so be careful what you wish for and realize that somethings are left out for a reason…and now you’re making another? Let dead dogs lie, Rob. That being said, I’m sure this flick will be an overwhelming success compared to his last album.
Personally, I don’t like horror movies. I just don’t enjoy them, and I don’t see the point. That is just my personal opinion.
I will say this though, if Rob Zombie reflects the same effort and passion in his movies that he shows in his music, those movies will suck ass.
Sturgis, well, since I’m not a simpleton, it doesn’t take very long to write a well thought out response. I accept your concession of defeat though… loser.
okay Ben and sturgis, time to kiss and make up. we do have the power of comedy here on teh innuhnets. let’s not take it too seriously…
here’s my opinion: rob zombie’s first two movies were good and then amazing, respectfully. then the halloween remake came and stunk majorly. why, you ask? because it lacked creativity. i love on-screen killings as much as the next guy, but I could have made that movie!! the only unique thing about his film was that it made me constantly think to myself, “okay, there can’t possibly be more deaths than this… i stand corrected!”
now on to the sequel… it definitely looks like it presents some more creative ideas. the trailer has me hooked; i’ll pay $10 to see it. good advertising, Metalsucks
Who was being serious??? ;)
I saw the trailer for H2 and I must say that I will NOT be seeing this piece of crap when it comes out in August. Rob Zombie should never have touched Halloween, PERIOD. Since when does Micheal Myers wear a hoodie? Next thing you know Zombie will have Micheal Myers actually speak. The Friday the 13th re hash is looking better and better all the time.
I loved the idea of Rob Zombie remaking Halloween, and the prequel part of the story was pretty good in my opinion. The remake part of the movie however I did not like. There are a few reasons for this too. My biggest complaint was at the end when Dr Loomis goes to shoot Michael. Loomis hesitates to shoot Michael and then only fires once at him. I understand that Rob Zombie was trying to show the respect between Michael and Loomis but John Carpenter showed the respect between Loomis and Michael in the original and Loomis didn’t even think twice to shoot Michael and unloaded his gun on Michael. In my opinion that was showing the true respect between Michael and Loomis because it showed that Loomis knew just how dangerous this guy was and he needed to be stopped. There are a few other reasons why I did not like his remake and would be happy to go into it if anyone wants me too. As for this new one Zombie is doing, come on what is Zombie thinking? Michael’s mother? Why? Last I checked Jason was the one who had the mommy issues and killed for mommy not Michael. I also don’t get the feel of a supernatrualish type being that we just don’t understand is killing like I did with all the other Halloween films even as crappy as some of the sequels where. I am very disappointed in Rob Zombie with this film.
