HEAVEN & HELL’S THE DEVIL YOU KNOW IS COOLER THAN THIS VIDEO

The new video for Heaven & Hell’s “The Bible Black” is… meh. Not the worst thing I’ve ever seen, but not really that interesting.

So I encourage you to concentrate on the awesomeness of the music, not the blandness of the animation – ’cause this album is pretty spectacular. I’ll post a full review sometime this week, but for now, just know, this album rules.

    The song and the album are great, but holy crap, that video looks like it was done in Flash.

    Actually, I’ve seen much better stuff done in Flash, so that’s unfair. But they could’ve done so much better.

    i dont know… but the name just reminds me of

    the hentai porn animation movie ~ “bible black”(google)
    so all the animation needs a little bit more of tentacle rape.

    music is good, all i can say..

    I didn’t care for it much at first, but the more I watched of it, the animation style reminded me of what could have been some pro-god, bible study cartoon. I think it worked well enough, but what DIDN’T work was the animated silhouettes of the band. That was tacky…

    Considering what some of Dio’s other videos have looked like, it could have been much worse…

    Adding studio-quality effects to flash animation don’t stop it from being flash.

    The song is edited and I don’t like the edit.

    Great song (and album). Video sucks but I listen to music, not watch it. No need for gore, junk, politics, etc in the CD paperwork. Just real Metal with skill. Doubt any video and tats “nu metal” band will come up with anything to beat it this year. Iommi is great throughout.

    What the fuck is with this video? Goddamnit – I’ve seen better metal ‘imagery’ in my dog’s shit. This looks like something radiohead would approve of. Bah…at least the song is killer.
