Musical taste is also subjective. You don’t like them at all from what I gather. Too bad other people do.

I don’t recognize this…and I don’t hear quality coming from this. I’ve listened to their music with an open mind and this band is basically a constructed mess that does what a bunch of other bands do at a half-assed skill level. Now if this were just a judgment on my TASTE, then I could see a worthy argument, but the quality isn’t there and I can’t even TRY to act like there is quality.

Basically. If you were to take: Behold the Arctopus, Between The Buried and Me, Cynic, The Forgotten Archetype, Crotchduster and Genghis Tron …make them all SUCK ASS and then combine them haphazardly with a female vocalist. You would get this band.

There are a bunch of other bands that do what they try to do shitloads better than they can. This can’t challenge my “narrow minded views” on music because my mind is not narrow when it comes to music. It’s broad enough to know that this band isn’t any good.

The fact that they are ‘famous’ means nothing. Fame has never ensured quality. Fame just means a lot of people can see you. Tubgirl and Goatse are famous too, but they aren’t something people enjoy looking at.

So they have a lot of scene kids that look at them because they match their demographic and are ironic in some fashion. They also have a lot of people who enjoy them because they don’t know anything better than them. Fair enough…this band still sucks.

Their look doesn’t help matters either. It’s one thing to not take yourself seriously when you create awesome works of art…but they don’t really do anything worth keeping themselves out of the cut-out bin so it really doesn’t matter how serious they take themselves.

Also, it doesn’t matter what the MetalSucks staff likes. They can like St.Anger for all I care. As long as they still keep interviewing and reviewing real metal acts with true grit, quality and integrity, then I’ll still keep coming back.

Let me explain something to you, this is not pop music we are chatting about. When its hard music, its all relative. Now I dont know what bands you listen too, but there are many people who would think guys who dress up in corpse paint and where midevil body armor is “immature and rediculous” or guys who “sing” about killing people, or people who go into mosh pits, etc. and in some cases their right and thats why we love it, but who the fuck cares?

You think IWABO is utter shit? COOL thats totally fine, but dont act so superior and talk about “progression” and “maturity” because your obviously too imature to realize that not every grades music the same way you do. Every single person has their own personal preference, and no one should have to feel bad about likeing it.

There are poeple in this world who like this band, get over it and move on.

Are you actually trying to talk me (or people in general) out of likeing this band? Let me explain to you how music works. The soundwaves go into my ear and if it makes me smile, I like it, i download it, I listen to it more. This is not up for debate, never was, never will be. I WOULD NEVER DEVOTE A SINGLE WORD TO A BAND I DIDN’T LIKE, I JUST WOULDN’T LISTEN TO THEM.

Not every metalhead is a fan of Suffocation, but whenever Metalsucks advertises them, no one accuses Metalsucks for shamelessly promoting them, but for this “hipster” band you cry foul? Give me a break! I do not beleive this is about shameless promotion, this is Metal sucks catering to the WIDE VARIETY of fans of hard music. No one is forcing you guys to click on the link.

As for “live and let live,” I agree with you. I like plenty of acts that get hated on because of their image..maybe the band is “too gimmicky,” or “too emo” or whatever other label detractors wants to slap on them. I try not to let a band or musician’s image cause me to discount their music; I always try to listen to the music for what it is, not who is creating it. Some examples of acts that I’m into that may not have the “right” image, or seem to be just generally disliked by critics and/or elitists: Slipknot (too gimmicky; commercial; not “real” metal), Mudvayne (see Slipknot), Coheed and Cambria (too “emo”; lead singer has a high pitched voice; gay), Avenged Sevenfold (too much posturing; think they are Guns N’ Roses; too commercial), AFI (see Coheed and Cambria; too commercial), etc.

The same is true in In the case of IWABO – I listened to their music before I had any idea what anyone in the band looked or acted like. I disliked their music very much, I thought it was forced, pretentious, and obnoxious. After listening to IWABO’s stuff, THEN I saw what the dudes looked and sounded like (not on their record). I thought it was interesting that what I disliked about their music seemed to reflect their personalities. Obviously I don’t know the guys, so I am basing that opinion on a one minute clip of them acting like retards. Is that fair? Probably not. Oh well.

actually this is far from the truth iwabo lacks substance they dont right good songs. the quirkiness is lost by how forced it sounds. lets not forget how awful that ugly bitches moaning is. she cant sing and yet she tries. another thing people have against this band is how big of douches they are. they think they are the shit. the girl “cant smoke weed cause she has an image to uphold” that is a direct quote for that scummy hoe. my friends band toured with them. they are hipster flavor of the week faggots end of story. they tried to make a combination of see you next tuesday and genghis tron but they ultimately failed to do so. for most people the most annoying thing about iwabo is how shamelessly websites like this jock the shit out of them when its hard to believe that they would like this. its seem as if its more promotional than the webmasters actually like it. anyway this band would probably have more real music fans if they didnt try so damn hard.

There are alot more important things going on in this world to hate on so much other then a band that is lucky enough to be making it, especially in a world full of you assholes.

I have spent money on IWABO and will continue to because i like thier music, and I am anything but fasionable, and I beleive that is the case for most people.
