Thursday, May 14th, 2009 at 4:30pm by Axl RosenbergNME.com just debuted the new Marilyn Manson video, “Arma-Goddamn-Motherfuckin’-Geddon,” or, as it seems to be called for the purposes of this lame ass video, “Arma-arma-arma-arma-armageddon.”
So, yeah, the song has grown on me slightly since I first heard it, but it’s still not great, and the video sucks – it’s like a parody of a cliché of Manson videos. Also, funny that Twiggy is the only other band member in the video. Also, funny that he’s playing guitar.
Manson’s new album, The High End of the Low, comes out May 26. Everything we’ve heard/seen from it so far suggests that it’s going to blow goats.

Why is it funny that Twiggy is playing guitar??
He plays bass live, but he has also always played guitar in studio.
Some of the other songs I’ve heard from the album seem pretty good, they remind me of the slow stuff on “Mechanical Animals” mixed with the solid stuff from “Holy Wood”
Better than “Eat Me Drink Me” that’s for sure.
Manson always picks bad songs for singles… It’s like he doesnt want good attention.
Once he stopped being self destructive & moved into this whole artist bit ie props set dressing costume changes in between every song the paintings the movies that just killed it for me.
However his albums have allways been listenable on some level meaning love it or hate it some thought was allways put behind the music.This new shit is just hollow & cheap sounding.Game over man.
Also wtf is with Slayer doing not one but two tours with this piece of shit?!!?!

It’s kind of catchy, in a poppy-you-never-admit-that-you-even-remotely-enjoy-it sort of way, but it loses any appeal reeeeally fast.
This song blows and the video automatically starts whenever I load the Metalsucks page. Can anybody tell me how to make this stop?

Manson stopped being respectable when he adopted the whole Vampire Crunk image and the album that was tied to that.

The actual album is pretty good – we’ve had a promo for the last few weeks here at Thrash Hits and been hitting it pretty hard in between blasts of 1349 – but this half-cocked cheap-ass video seems like the label actually wants it to do badly.
The edit is pointless. As everyone else pointed out, half the words are gone.

This is atrocious. I love how someone can produce music equivalent to something you’d expect to come from some teen idol, but if they dress scary and dance with scary arm movements and even scarier lighting, it’s not only considered metal, but evil.
Yeah, in fact I could easily imagine Britney Spears singing this song.
Better than anything off of his last two albums but that’s not saying much. Manson has been and always will be OVERRATED!!!

Newp. Never have had any respect for Manson, even in high school while everyone was wearing his shirts and sucking his proverbial dick. Smells Like Children was decent for a couple songs, but all in all, never a real fan. I shunned all the kids that sung his praise for the sheer “shock value” and always avoided that bandwagon.

…That said, i find it odd that they censored the words abortion, Satanic, kill, and dead. The swear words I understand, but what channel doesn’t let you say “dead” on the air?

there where two drummers in the video and i guess that those are Ginger Fish and Chris Vrenna, because Ginger is Marilyn Mansons current drummer and Vrenna use to be NINs drummer for… was it seven years…
and he replaced Ginger for years or two, because Ginger was injured during that time.

Awful song/video. The censorship is definitely retarded, and, along with rap, it’s ridiculous why you would even bother playing this on the radio if you’re going to censor the fuck out of it. I am (or should i say, WAS) a Manson fan, as Portrait of an American Family and Antichrist Superstar are classics that even the most weathered metalhead must give some credit too. Mechanical Animals and Holy Wood had their good moments too, but everything after that point has been a pop-infused abortion. As mentioned above, i can also imagine Britney Spears singing this song, as it’s purposefully trying to be so catchy.

I’m gonna get flamed aren’t I? I love Manson, this song in particular. The new CD is good, as long as they don’t fuck it up with all the censorship. Listen to the album version of this song and maybe you’ll like it better. Going to Mayhem this summer, can’t wait!
