I think Chuck Klosterman would call these guys “teeth metal” (as opposed to “hair metal”). Basically, it’s metal where the band members are smiling and having a good time.

I dig it. All the angry crap is such an affectation anyway.

I can’t decide if I dislike the more than derivative sound or like the throwback, nolstalgia-inducing vibe more. I do like bands that don’t take themselves too seriously and if you don’t think a rag-top GTO is cool, you don’t deserve to be male.
