EXCLUSIVE VIDEO INTERVIEW WITH IWRESTLEDABEARONCE

And as you know if you read this site on a regular basis, we love IWABO. So were totally bummed that, due to scheduling issues, we weren’t able to meet up with them for an interview.
Luckily, one of the band’s publicists, our good friend Leo Lavoro, volunteered to film and edit the band answering some questions we sent over for them. Leo did a killer job and we definitely owe him a beer or ten!
So here it is, our first video interview, with our favorite young experimental electrogrindeathpopwhateverthefuckcorers, IWRESTLEDABEARONCE. It’s All Happening will be out June 2 on Century Media!!!

Their shtick is really getting old. I don’t have a problem with hipsters playing metal but these kids are not worthy of all the hyped praise.
Are you guys getting paid to mention this band as often as you can? I don’t even know if there any good, but you’ve been hyping them more than there own record label.

uhmm i do thouroughly enjoy this band. and no there humor isnt the BEST but i find it more funny than well.. dane cook lets say but ya its grindcore played buy scene / hipster kids…. obv u cant take it seriousely but thats why i like it. u cant always listen to serious music. cmon the name alone has to make u chuckle or is that above u? but hey this is only my opinion.
when i dont want to listen to serious music i listen to Teanacious D. not really metal but so much better

I guess I missed the memo where a band can have no annoying people in it and every member must be BFF material in order to like/listen to them. I’m surprised that so many readers have such a hard time getting over themselves.
It’s pretty simple Dave. We call a spade for what it is, and these fucks are obnoxious. Anyway the reason we don’t like them to begin with is because the MUSIC is terrible.
Your right/ Actually their humor does not bug me as much as their lousy music. If people like this band good for them, but In truth it seems most people here dislike their music and are annoyed they are being so hyped.

I dug Tastes Like Kevin Bacon and some of the ideas and general ideas of their EP. But with each interview unshelling their terrible personalities and that new song, The Cat’s Pajamas, I have officially given up hope for iwrestledabearonce.
What happened to Horse the Band? Didn’t they cover this gimmick already?

I like their music but that interview started off horrid. Reminded me of smug junior high kids who think they are funny by throwing out random toilet humor jokes. It got a little better towards the end when they actually tried to answer questions instead of be entertaining, but I doubt many people made it that far.
