EX-HATEBREED GUITARIST IN MUSIC VIDEO DIRECTED BY AND STARRING… SHIA LABEOUF?!?!
Thursday, May 28th, 2009 at 11:05am by Axl RosenbergA giant, that’s-gonna-leave-a-mark smack on the ass to our pal Rob Pasbani at Metal Injection, who noticed that Sean Martin, formerly of Hatebreed, is in the new video for Cage, which was directed by Transformers star Shia LaBeouf. You gotta wonder how the fuck Martin ended up here…
UPDATE: Apparently Martin and Cage are co-owners of a company called Cardboard City. Thanks to Dallas Coyle for the tip!
I can’t stomach the song enough to listen to it, but luckily, Martin appears at the start of the video, before the music kicks in. Check it out:

i only see “error #2048″ … NICE!
Should be working now.
works!
I thought that by Cage video they meant Cage as in the California power metal band. I was surprised that Cage was big enough to be able to land a Hollywood Star to direct their video.
I also thought this.
i dig the song
What can be said other then I didn’t realize it was getting that cold in hell.
I’m thinking that this song is better than “THE FETUS! >XO”
holy shit, that was sylar’s little brother!
Martin is the executive producer of Cage’s new album, there’s also a huge Daryl Palumbo connection as well.
About 73 seconds in I was praying for “error #2048″.
nice…
Sean Martin is also in Daryl palumbo’s dance/pop duo HOUSE OF BLOW…He does all the sampling and keyboards while aplumbo handles the vox….Why do such cool guys get wrapped up in such shit?
I can only think of of thing…”cha-Ching”
Hardly. He’s really into this kind of stuff. It’s called having a broad taste in music.
Did you ever think that dudes from hardcore bands might like other music than hardcore? Most guys that i know who are in metal bands mostly listen to other kinds of softer music. Your ears need a break after all of that heavy shit, especially on the road.
agreed, gotta clean your pallet
im coming out off the closet.. im a huge rise against fan: and a huge marduk fan.
soft does not equal crap. but this is crap.
Cage is the man…not so sure about this track though. By the way, for the hip-hop people, is that Aesop Rock at around 53 seconds?
Yeah, that’s him and El-P
this is nowhere near El-P… more like poop in a scoop
I thought he looked familiar! I love Aesop. He’s one of the only rappers I have a real high respect for.
F. Sean isn’t in this for the money. These dudes aren’t rich. They just have appreciation for music that isn’t necessarily metal. Cage is sick. SO is House of Blow.
I like Cage…but I don’t like this. I understand that he wants to venture new territory…but Emo-Rock poetry shit?
Also, the production on this track doesn’t do anything for me. Very flat.
Just shitty. But still better than Hatebreed.
