Behemoth, a.k.a. our favorite Polacks who aren’t Vader, have been added to three dates of the MetalSucks co-sponsored Summer Slaughter tour. Y’know, in case Suffocation, Necrophagist, Darkest Hour, Origin, Born of Osiris, and a plethora of other awesome bands wasn’t enough for you.

These are the Behemoth-sized dates:

07/05-Edmonton, AB @ Starlite Room
07/06-Calgary, AB @ The Whiske
07/07-Spokane, WA @ Knitting Factory

Of course, even if Behemoth won’t be on your local Summer Slaughter stop, it’s still a rad tour that you should check out. Get a full list of dates here.

It’s really funny when you go to The Knitting Factory’s website. New York, Hollywood, Boise, Spokane. Yeah, I live in Spokane.

Going June 7. Behemoth would have been an awesome edition, but I can’t complain that all I get to see is 2 of the most legendary Deathmetal bands ever in existence in music history in the same night.

I think Summer Slaughter is horrible this year. I mean personally, I’d only be going to see the return of Necrophagist and Origin. Darkest hour, I think, doesn’t even belong on the tour neither does Winds of Plague or any of the other dethcore crap they stacked on there this year. Even last year wasn’t that great. There hasn’t been good lineup since the first year!

I’m hyped to see Decrepit Birth, Dying Fetus, Ensiferum, Born of Oriris, After the Burial, Necrophagist, and Suffocation (although they ALWAYS seem to be around; at every fest and whatnot), but I agree that the lineup does lack firepower.

Summer Slaughter has always been a little deathcore, but so has technical death metal for the past five years or so. How can you like Necrophagist and Origin and not jizz all over yourself at the thought of Decrepit Birth?

Have a good time. Hell yeah June 7 in Philly!

Sweet lineup. Way better than Thrash and Burn. I just wish it could go back to being all death metal. Let Thrash and Burn have Winds of Plague, Darkest Hour, Born of Osiris and After the Burial. Don’t get me wrong, I love Darkest Hour, Born of Osiris, and After the Burial.

  6. SonOF says:

I like this lineup a lot, but Winds of Plague has a better billing than WAY too many good bands.

  7. *cough cough* did axl just call born of osiris an awesome band?

    god damn it….
