NEW SHIT FROM VOIVOD AND HE IS LEGEND

Voivod and He Is Legend both released new songs this week on their MySpace pages. There is no common theme here other than that I dig the new stuff from both bands and that they’re both worthy of ya’ll’s attention. And since it’s Friday, the MetalSucks Monkeys are cranky and aren’t coming up with any clever headlines or puns.
The new Voivod sounds pretty much like Voivod; it’s the last album that will feature contributions from the late guitarist Piggy, and the band claims it’ll be their last effort ever. The new He Is Legend is easily their best and most focused work yet… I’ve listened to this song at least 5 times already this week.
Voivod releases Infini on June 23rd via Relapse Records (pre-order here) and He Is Legend drops It Hates You July 21st on Tragic Hero (pre-order here).

I Am Hollywood was an amazing cd but suck out the poison was disappointing, can’t say this new song really seems to promising to me
I loved most of Suck Out The Poison. The new track is ok, but I’m hoping for some gems elsewhere on the disc.
I think I’m the only person on the planet that loves every HiL release equally. That being said, the new track was kinda meh at first and then, like pretty much everything they’ve ever done, it massively grew on me.
I’m so fucking excited for this CD. I’d also like to recommend that anyone who has never seen them in a small concert setting(aka not with KSE and DragonForce or on a festival) do so. They’re easily one of the best, most intense acts I’ve ever seen. I’ve seen them 13 times and they pretty much floor me every time.

I loved Suck Out the Poison…every He is Legend album is a little different which is one of the reasons I dig them. Their cover of “Wounded” by Third Eye Blind is awesome as is their split EP with Classic Case.
Voivod is one of metal’s greatest bands. Can’t wait for this new one.
I’ve been a huge Voivod fan since the late 80’s (yes, even Angel Rat) and i’m really looking forward to this new cd.
