Supposedly a guy I went to high school worked on that fucking plane a few weeks prior–said that some screws or bolts or some shit had been tampered with and reported it. Whether it was ever fixed, he doesn’t know. He blames himself for the people who died. How fucked up is that?

I’ll agree with that.I’m going to rule it as 20,000 for the hotel + 15,000 because it was in France, and in the interest of fairness – an additional 30,000 points because it was a concord.Those planes were bad assery in it’s truest form, and if it crashed into a building, not to sound cliche, but that is pretty fuckin’ metal.

Perhaps I’ll have to track you down when you guys play the city with Goatwhore and we’ll have to work out a definitive universal point system.

There was actually an event on the same model Airbus in which it went into a sudden uncontrolled dive because the onboard computer was relaying faulty pitch information. Airbuses have definitely been known to freak out.

The media needs to get their information directly from the goddamn airline companies and actual pilots who are flying, not armchair commandos who couldn’t start a goddamn prop engine if they tried. The amount of false information and sensationalism that’s been attributed to this is absolutely insane. It wasn’t a terrorist attack or a bomb – Airbus has a rather nasty history of unreliability and poor design, and previous documented issues + weather conditions encountered in the area (and no, that area isn’t a “thunderstorm” pilots fly around, yet more misinformation released by the media) would have caused an event exactly like this.

I believe it was around six stories tall, but it was a nice French inn. So that has to count for more than just a regular ole’ Holiday Inn. You know, it really would help the world out to have this point system determined once and for all.

Point value should be determined by the size and quality of the hotel. If it was a four star filled with guests around Christmas, 200,000 points should be awarded. However, if it was a six story high class Holiday Inn – 20,000 points, tops.
