it’s really weird to see Halestorm break out suddenly… they are from my area & it doesn’t seem like it was that long ago that it was just Liz & RJ playing shows at ages 14 & 10 respectively.

I’d honestly take Whitechappel any day over this Halestorm. In fact, seeing the Halestorm video clears up a mystery for me. I heard this track on the radio but didn’t catch the name of the band. I just assumed it was Pink trying to be metal or some such horseshit. They look a lot cooler than they sound. Basically the opposite applies to Whitechappel. Not a huge fan of theirs or anything, but comparing the two songs makes me realize why I listen to the heavier end of metal most of all.

i don’t really like them because all of them sound the same to me. whitechapel i find particularly offensive, not because of their musical content or their lyrics, but because they have 3 fucking guitarists. i mean, seriously. do they honestly need 3 guitarists to bring the “br00t mosh”? fuck that. there’s one band that can do that, and it’s fucking iron maiden.
