is anyone else wondering how you can review a band you never saw? Devildriver were amazing and yes they did have two HUGE pits going at once but how can you give them an 8 out of 10 not being there??

True dat. Normally “bordering on emo” would be enough for me, not to touch a band’s CD with a 4 yard stick. But Billy Talent, while being not very ambitious, is still pretty good.
@FuckinEh – You would be right, but Billy Talent ain’t punk. Pop-punk – yeah, but not punk.

OyVey, how did you come up with this sentence?: “Pendulum – Really f’ing good Drum ‘n Bass metal.” Pendulum have absolutely nothing to do with metal. They don’t. Nothing. Just because they use a guitar, and they appear at a “metal” festival, doesn’t make them metal.

I watched all of Limp Bizkits set on you tube today. I gotta say having never seen them live and was a diehard fan back in the day before I learned what real metal was, they put on a good show. Wes guitar sounded weird but people were into them and I am sure for the entertainment value it was good. Killswitch and Slipknot were very good like always. Wish there was something like this in the States.

Bloodstock – good in principal but the headliners are woeful this year apart from Carcass. Let’s hope the organisers don’t pull the same stunt as last year with a festival ‘by the fans, for the fans’ that has drink prices that are more expensive than any other festival in the country.

Download 2009 was a vast improvement over last year’s debacle, with a strong showing for classic rock for a change. Didn’t see as many bands as I’d hoped because I was working but great to see Chris Cornell wheel out a Temple Of The Dog song. I could even overlook the terrible Scream songs he shoehorned into the set.

Okay. Download is definately not what it used to be at all. It used to be good. I believe that Bloodstock will be ruling the festivals this year, and i am proudly holding my ticket up high. However, i must say some bands there sounded good as expected of a big festival but i think it has lost its appeal
Not all brits are into Limp Bizkit, do note we all drink pretty fuckng hard in large groups.

I would’ve given my left nut to see Faith No More, ZZ Top, Dream Theater, and Clutch. And it’s nice to see a mention of Pendulum, who are an intriguing mix of drum ‘n’ bass and hard rock.

Yeah, gotta agree, Limp Bizkit (at least what I saw from the live stream) was pretty good. Durst seemed hungover though.
Also – I regret not catching of Billy Talent since I like that band. Not very metal, but some actually pretty good pop-punk.
