What about Tetragrammatical Astygmata by Averse Sefira, as far as BM goes this album puts anything created by Nachtmystium to shame.

Bottom Line: This album rocks regardless of genre or hipster insider/outsider cred. Black Meddle and Disfear’s last album are a couple of old school bangers that sound great every time you put them on.

Most real life, non internet represented hipsters have never heard of this album. It’s all bullshit that people believe from reading the internet. Trendy? Since when is Nachtmystium a trend? Your average hipster has never even heard of Nachtmystium. I guarantee you no one who calls this hipster metal has ever had an actual face-to-face conversation with a hipster who has heard this album, or anything by Nachtmystium. And even if they did like this album, I honestly don’t know why people give a fuck. Because that makes it less metal? Real metal fans don’t judge their metal by how metal it is. Hipsters love the fucking Melvins, who are heavy as shit, but not very metal. You know who else loves The Melvins? METALHEADS! People need to stop with this crazy idea of metal being some inside, elitist art that only they and their elite metal posse understand. We now live in a day and age where GOOD metal is starting to be accepted by the mainstream, and I think that’s fucking great. I love it when a non-metalhead gets down on some Mastodon or some old-school Judas Priest. Everyone’s always bitching on this site that we need to “expand our horizons” and “really open your mind to more interesting music.” Well if that’s the case, isn’t it not only acceptable, but pretty awesome that non-metal fans are expanding THEIR tastes to include some kickass metal? This album might not be fuckin Darkthrone, but it’s also not Hatebreed, or Killswitch Engage (sorry, my opinion), or Bullet For My Valentine, or any of that shit you see on “Headbanger’s Ball”. Shit, I don’t even think it’s that amazing of an album, but it’s fucking solid and has some interesting parts, like that horn section in Ghosts Of Grace, or the awesome drunken-barfight chorus of Assassins. So if you’re not ordinarily a metal fan, and you dig this album, I hoist my beer in your direction.
