DANGEROUS NEW DANGEROUS NEW MACHINE VIDEO
Wednesday, June 17th, 2009 at 12:00pm by Vince NeilsteinI’ve written about my unabashed, non-ironic love of early-’00s not-quite-supergroup Stereomud many time on these pages. I’ve also written about singer Erik Rogers’ new group Dangerous New Machine and the sparks that flew after he tried to call the new band Stereomud.
So Dangerous New Machine have a new video for their song “Burn.” Dig it. Like Metal Inquisition’s Sergeant D and Crazytown, I’m just a sucker for this stuff. Ain’t nothin’ kvlt/br00tal/tr00 about it. It isn’t even all that original. But the songs are good and I love it!

Vince, I’ve been tryin’ to tell you there’s room in the metal fandom world for this kind of hard rock as well as real metal. Welcome to the dark side.
I was also a big stereomud fan, isn’t hard rock the way most of us got into metal anyway? Nobody when they first get into music goes straight for the behemoth section in the music store. Had to start somewhere…
Horrible video, but decent song.
Are you kidding me? This shit makes newer Korn look bad ass.
Christ, what is this? The lyrics are pretty fuckin funny, but they sound so much less intense with that dude’s voice. I am all for clean vocals, but he sounds like he doesn’t care at all. Example : Maynard, he has clean vocals, but you can feel the intensity.
cheese as fuck
cool song! Thanks for posting it!
pretty good song.. not great, but good.. better than a lot of the garbage on hard rock radio right now. I could see these guys taking off.. But here’s my beef…. How many freaking songs are there titled “Burn”??? Seriously…
Its a good song, thanks for posting it. Rare to find decent hard rock these days
I thought it was ok. My main gripe was the riff in the chorus. That chord progression is dangerously overused.
this song is about syphilis.
sorry…i couldnt make it 30 seconds into that song without having to stop it at typing here to say it sucks.
I’m glad you’re honest Vince! Everyone’s got their guilty pleasures. Dig it.
I too like my share of less than “metal” music, but dude… really? You were not kidding when you said it wasn’t all that original and it sounds like an 8th grader wrote the lyrics for them. Nothing enticing or intelligent about it at all… sorry bro
I was coming in here to make fun of you for liking Stereomud but cheering the demise of American Head Charge, but fuck, this is pretty good.
