Burton was delaying the new FF album because the last one was terrible. So, Christian and Raymond took their shitty new “Fear Factory” songs and did a whole new shitty band. Dino and Burt want to do a real Fear Factory album and they got people that can do it.

dont forget the FF myspace and website was all about selling cocaine energy drinks, Dinkys and anything else theywanted to palm off during the COW years.
everyone has been talking about how Burt is fucked, etc, but he wanted to leave fear factory. It was Ray and Chris who talked him back into it, cos they saw money in it. im all for the music, after all. thats what bands are meant to do

I’d say Burton’s reunion with Dino would mean a lean towards FF’s heavier material, so I definitely wouldn’t count out Soul Of A New Machine tracks being played live.
