They most definatly don’t have the CD on Summer Slaughter. Not even at the MN show last thrusday. The merch guy said that hadn’t had any and didn’t know when they were going to get it or when it came out.
The show at Station 4 was a great show, hopefully the DVD shows how fun it was. To bad they don’t have Your Memorial and Veil of Maya’s sets on there as well. GAH! That was a great show. The Duluth show didn’t hold a torch to it, snow storm or not.

anthony is a great vocalist, waaay better than grant. the new version of berzerker is on the sampler of the new decibel issue, and if it’s any indication of the rest of the album, it’s gonna e fucking killer. more audible bass, less artificial sounding drums, much better, more expressive vocals, and overall superior production. wiki says this is dropping 8/18.

also, for any ATB fans, another great minneapolis progressive/technical deathcore band worth checking out is Your Memorial (they opened for them at the show from the promo vid).

I actually liked Nick’s vocals on Forging a Future Self…he hits highs like none other. Granted, I’m listening to this music for the music, so vocals seem like just an added bonus on top of insane musicianship. Or something like that.

I’m more excited about remix/remaster than the new vocals. The drums actually sound like drums. I thought they sounded way too compressed and mechanical before, and there wasn’t much of a human element to the recording. I’m looking forward to this.

I don’t like the new singer that much. He sounds just way to hardcore at some points :/
Not a good thing for their style. My oppinion.

That show was pretty good, and Forging a Future Self completely blows Rareform away, honestly I thought Rareform was shit compared to the first cd, but that UMD show was good.

on a side note your ass better be at the rafters 7/17 for IWABO, cause lets face we dont get shit for shows here in Duluth

I love this band. They played a show back in March at the University of Minnesota Duluth and it was one of the best times I have ever had at a show. The energy and the mosh pit were awesome. If you guys haven’t heard their first album Foging a Future Self, check it out. Sick shit!

Rareform is okay. I saw them live at summer slaughter in MD and I was pretty dissapointed. Maybe it was just the annoying crowd and their windmills, but the band just seems to be all about the breakdown when they could do a lot more with their music

I don’t really remember too much about Rareform, but from what I’ve heard the new vocalist is a great improvement, so this gives me a good excuse to check them out again.
