JUST BECAUSE HE DOESN’T HAVE THE SKULLET ANYMORE DOESN’T MEAN HE CAN’T BE HEAVIER THAN A REALLY HEAVY THING

As you’ll find out in the interview I did with Devin Townsend that I’ll publish eventually, the follow-up to Devin Towsend’s excellent Ki – which we’ll also publish a review of eventually — is going to be a heavier affair called Addicted. While the second record in the four-part suite won’t be the heaviest — that distinction belongs to the third, according to Devin — judging by the rehearsal footage posted by Metal Hammer it’s definitely a heavier affair than Ki (not that there’s anything wrong with not being heavy — this writer loooooves Ki). Take a look at the rehearsal footage below. Telecaster = \m/

How is Ki pronounced? (is it Key or Kie or just K I) Picked up the record the other day, have not been able to give it one good listen so far, really enjoyed Ziltoid and all the SYL stuff, hopefully this stacks up as well.

Bitchin, can’t wait to pirate it and wait for the box set to come out. I mean really, what’s the point in buying it twice.

Ki is a great album… definitely mellower than a lot of his other stuff, but brilliant nonetheless. I’m eagerly awaiting the other 3 albums.

  7. Sammy says:

He should get a paisley Tele and drop EMGs into it.

  8. Strapping Young Lad says:

Its always good to hear Devin Townsend’s softer side. This album is really chill for the most part.

  9. Ach… Devins genius shines through any of his projects and am really enjoying Ki. Looking forward to Addicted, and glad to hear it doesnt resemble Nickelback as very much feared, but I trust Devy to put out his usual level of awesome. Glad to hear a review and Interview is in the works, was worried Ki may get forgotten. Also, nice to see he still pulls faces! Devy>God.
