STREAM DARKEST HOUR’S THE ETERNAL RETURN
Monday, June 22nd, 2009 at 1:00pm by Axl Rosenberg
Darkest Hour’s new album, The Eternal Return, is currently streaming in its entirety at the band’s MySpace page. Not only do Vince and I both think it kicks ass in a major way, but Vince has already proclaimed it his favorite Darkest Hour record.
Check it out here, then come back and let us know what you think. You can buy an actual copy when Victory releases the album tomorrow.
And, lest ye forget, Darkest Hour are on the MetalSucks co-sponsored Summer Slaughter tour. Get tour dates here.

Probably the worst DH album.
yeah, I’d probably agree with ya there, nothing very special about it. I think Undoing Ruin was their peak. I still jam that album quite a bit.
ditto
this album is for people who have been fans for awhile this cd is more like hidden hands or mark of judas than the melodic kris norris era of d hour
Worst band in metal
Deliver Us was much more memorable. Shame cos I was really looking forward to this album but its all a bit ‘meh’.
Once Kris Norris left, the song writing went out the window. Also they fucking harmonize everything and it starts to lose its appeal.
This album sounds like Darkest Hour but it doesn’t have the memorable moments that Undoing Ruin and Deliver Us had.
pretty forgetable
Hidden Hands is this bands best effort hands down.
And you guys say I can buy it tomorrow, but luckily for me, it was already being sold somewhere today, and I bought it.
Excellent album. They’ve revisited Hidden Hands and just improved on that album in every way possible.
Vince is right on the money, this kicks the crap out of the rest.
Darkest Hour always had promise but it just never seemed to get there…. this album is no difference. It has promise but it just never fully reaches it.
it’s been about 5 years since i have been able to see DH, and it finally happened again in Philly at the Summer Slaughter… and as always, DH were the best band on the bill.
Best band on the bill lol. Ok B-Rad whatever you say buddy. I guess you think Necrophagist, Suffocation, Origin, Dying Fetus, and a few others don’t count lol. I like Darkest Hour, but man they stick out like a sore thumb on this tour.
kris norris made this band.
OK, so it’s not really a step forward for DH. Yes, Norris leaving did impact them a bit. But you can’t deny the fact that they keep puttin records out, they haven’t diluted their sound. And they recognize that their fans love the early days. What’s wrong with giving the fans what they want? You wanna see them go the way of BYD or All That Remains? Not me, I support this band wholeheartedly until they put out some crap like “it’s nothing personal,” they remain the quintessential thrash metalcore.
shut up!
