WHAT IF… THE MISFITS HAD BEEN A FOLK BAND?
Tuesday, June 23rd, 2009 at 4:00pm by Gary SuarezIn the classic comic book tradition, “What If…” stories were ones that existed outside of the Marvel Universe. Consider this then: WHAT IF… THE MISFITS HAD BEEN A FOLK BAND?
Here’s your answer:
If you like what you hear, you can buy Scream With Me, Pajo’s LP+CD of Misfits covers, via Black Tent Press.

That’s mesmerizing.
I enjoyed this.
i thought this was gonna suck —- but it does not–nice job pajo
Seeing as I just listened to some Misfits (including this song), I really got a kick out of this.
I thought it was well done. A little too sleepy for me, but I guess that is what folk music is.
Final review: Good bedtime music with a positive message for the whole family.
A message about not being a goddamn sonofabitch… perfect for kids of all ages.
it wasn’t bad at all, but i had to stop it after about 30 seconds because i thought i was going to fall asleep.
I like it.
And I get it, you’re trying to make us all happy in attempt to lessen the blow that’s sure to come with today’s list instalment. Clever.
In retrospect I’ll bet this comment feels a bit silly. :D
That was fucking nice
For those who aren’t aware- this is David Pajo, the guitar player from Slint. In addition to this all Misfits cover record, he put out a 7″ about 6 years ago covering Last Caress in a similair manner.
He also played in Billy Corgan’s post-Pumpkins band Zwan.
That is a band I am trying desperately to forget.
david pajo had nothing to do with the shittiness of zwan. corgan sucked that one up on his own.
damn, i did something like this with hybrid moments about 5 years ago. check out the link and see if you like. i need meet up with this dude!
Whoa that’s terrible.
Anyways, in a similar vein: what if Black Sabbath were a Renaissance band?

Actually listenable!
