this whole mess is just plain confusing. FF are my all time favourite band, sure Transgression sucked balls, and Digimortal was fairly meh as well but their other albums were pretty good and they really did invent the whole cyber-metal thing imo. And those catchy chorus hooks mixed with one of the best metal growls going around still make my spine tingle when I hear the likes of scumgreif, descent, ressurection, archetype.. etc etc etc..

BUT…

Now what the hell am I supposed to think. Im trying REALLY hard to like Arkaea but unless im missing something this new Threat Signal signer sounds more like the dude from Linkin Park and that is enough to ruin any good riff in my opinion. From what I hear tho, there are some decent songs in there and Raymond is playing like a madman that seemed to be spawned during Arkaea and going more and more ballistic ever since (lets just forget transgression exists).

If I had to take sides, i’d say Christian is one of the most talented musos in the mixup, but probably the least important to the Fear Factory sound. To me the order of must have’s are as follows…

Burton (no fucking way i EVER wanna hear fear factory with some other cocksucker on vocals)
Raymond (i just don’t think a drummer like Hoglan will be able to play below himself enough to keep the disco stu beats alive and simple, and that my friend is how fear factory managed to punch above the laff masses of death metal around the time of SOANM. Combining the keyboards with Raymond brought it into cyber zone

Guitarist (really think either dino or christian could do this job, probably prefer Christian just because theres a chance the band wont break up again 6 months down the track)

Bass player (bah, couldnt care if they sequenced it via MIDI tbh)

Lets just pray whatever happens, its not a shit album.. Let the band rest in peace if you cant do it properly.
