Cool video. I saw that Bear Family (the German purveyors of fine, fine country and rock ‘n roll boxsets) released a few things of Joe. Might pick those up some time.

Also, glad to see some love for country shredders such as Junior Brown. Saw him a few years ago, and it was fucking fantastic.

Like every other kid, I grew up listening to Metallica…AJFA is my fav. although I won’t deny the influence of the 3 albums prior to that…

But Kirk Hammet, apart from nailing down a few unforgettable solos, especially on the slower tracks, IMHO is a rubbish guitar player…he’s sloppy too.

Pretty badass, and the fact that he switched instruments so many times without it breaking his concentration at all is impressive.

Makes me want to bust out some psychobilly, or some of John 5′s solo stuff. The bluegrass bits of his albums are a great contrast to the heavier stuff.
