IF ONLY ANTHRAX HAD REFUSED

I am increasingly convinced that the new Anthrax album, Worship Music, is going to suck. It’s just a weird gut feeling I get… like I’m gearing up for disappointment. Everyone knows the record is coming out, but no one really seems to care. Like that G.I. Joe movie or some shit.

Here’s the band covering Refused’s “New Noise,” and, uhhh, it doesn’t do anything to squash that icky feeling I have. I want so badly to be wrong, but fear so very much that I am right.

By the way, I love that Rob Caggiano now has more hair than Robin Williams, and yet still refuses to headbang. Super.

    I thought that was a pretty good cover, loves me some refused. Would have been a lot of fun to see live as well if people were into it.

      Refused are awesome, but they ushered in a whole generation of shitty nu-metal bands.

    They need John Bush back. At the time White Noise and 442 came out, I really didn’t like them very much. These days I love those albums and I don;t think they will ever have another singer like John. These days it’s kind of sad.

      Shape IS a fuckin great album, fantastic Production;
      but Songs To Fan The Flames Of Discontent is way more Metal.
      Speaking of which:
      WTF already with the AC4 project?
      The singer, short git player spazz and drummer from Refused doing old-skool Hardcore, THAT’S gotta be good, right?

    The cover was O.K., if a little uninspired. Boring, I guess. Honestly I’ve seen a lot of bands cover New Noise and this is the least outright offensive, although that’s really not saying much,

    It does make wanna listen to Shape of Punk to Come again now, and that is always a good thing.
