HEY! A NEW LACUNA COIL VIDEO!

It’s Monday, it’s purty outside, and there’s a new Lacuna Coil video. I like it!

No no, the video is actually for the track “I Like It” from Lacuna Coil’s pretty good April release Shallow Life (read our own Anso DF’s review). The plotline of the video is pretty much retarded but I guess provides a good way for the director to involve everyone in the band who isn’t Cristina Scabbia. But let’s face it, we’re all really watching to see Scabbia anyway, aren’t we? Thankfully she gets plenty of face-time in this clip too.

    Damn that’s a horriblr song… But what else would u expect from such a horrible band..

    I was recently at a festival, and out of all the bands on the whole set, Lacuna Coil was the most boring… Half the crowd dissapeard and the crowd that was there didnt even move.. My two mates fell asleep aswell they were so bored.!

    I remember enjoying their debut EP and their Unleashed Memories full-length until they just kind of fell off my radar. I checked out their newest album Shallow Life and thought I was listening to wanna-be top 40 radio hits.

      Sometime right around Comalies they realized that catchy tracks sell more records and they jumped way off the deep end. This is supposed to be a metal band?

    It’s a pity that this album sucked so much, though… I rather enjoyed Karmacode.

    I wonder if they’re aiming for the tween girl market with this? Sort of a metal version of Miley Cyrus or something. i remember seeing quite a few tween girls at a Nightwish concert in 2005, so there is a market for Christina-type singers fronting pop-y, melodic metal bands. Just wondering if LC (or the record label) is directly aiming for that niche…

    I wonder why they continue to give a 1/6 cut of earnings to a guy who adds 1/10 of the backup vocals and contributes little else to the band. He’s like the Janick Gers of the band (only even on a smaller scale).

    Not bad but its not metal. I liked Karmacode but hated Comalies and I streamed this Cd and thought it sucked. This isnt a terrible song though, just one that I dont care about and I agree that the vocals at time sound like top 40 pop shit.

    The only reason Lacuna Coil has the following that it has is because female fronted bands are scene, this song is a disgrace to all things metal.
    Females have no place fronting bands.

    Seriously, Lacuna Coil is terrible. I must agree with Glenn; Lacuna Coil is the Miley Cyrus of pseudo-metal. …And we all know how br00tal Miley Cyrus is.

    If you want something good with a female vocalist, listen to Arch Enemy or Draconian. That’s fucking true (female-fronted) metal right there. This whole soft female vocalist thing has to stop. I mean, Kittie is better than this…barely.

    Also, is anyone else getting some female empowerment vibes from this song?
