Hopefully it’s better than the last album.

  3. Cougar Party says:

Can’t wait for this album. Fire up the Blades is still in constant rotation on my ipod.

  4. Wayne says:

Excellent cover! Cool band…curious to see how they sound with just one lead vocalist. Looking forward to hearing Jack Endino’s production, too. Loved his work on the last High on Fire album.

    • Cougar Party says:

Do you know if Jamie Hooper is not recording with the band anymore? I know he hasn’t toured in over a year because of vocal problems, but if I remember correctly, he was supposed to be on the new record.

  5. S.I. says:

I don’t really like the band, but that album art is awesome.

  6. Kye says:

$10 says the Ringwraith is Rob Darken

  7. miguel_g(Peru) says:

It reminds me of an old, cheesy Black metal video.

  8. Ziltoid says:

Looks way too black metal for 3IoB, and even at that, it’s not really good for a BM album cover. It just doesn’t look grim enough.

  9. ETIDIOT says:

I think I remember hearing that guitarist Justin Hagberg has taken over the screaming vocals since Jamie Hooper left the band. So it should be interesting to see how this one turns out. The artwork is kind of cool but I don’t think its as epic as what they’ve had on previous releases.

also, if anyone cares, apperantly this is the track listing for Here Waits Thy Doom:

    1. Battles and Brotherhood
    2. Rock In Hell
    3. Silent Killer
    4. Fierce Defender
    5. Preachers Daughter
    6. Call of the Hammer
    7. Snake Fighter
    8. At the Foot of the Great Glacier
    9. All of them Witches
    10. 12:34
    11. Execution Tank

  10. groverXIII says:

Very Lord Of The Rings… I dig it.

  13. Strep Townsend says:

Great album art for an unfortunately supbar and generic band.

  14. Some Random Dude says:

It looks like they put some costumes on took a picture in the woods then ran it through photoshop.

but i am no art critic.

  15. Dani says:

cheap. cant see how u all can like it. it just sucks. eager to hear it tho

  16. The Ghost of D. Boon says:

    FUCK YES

(to the above two posters, I think that’s kinda the point, guys.)

Although it does give off a black metal feel, the cover IMO is better than Fire Up the Blades which was rather boring, but inferior to Advance and Vanquish. I suppose it’s a nice change of pace though.

Sad to see Jamie leave though. Although I was not much into his vocals, I appreciated the contrast he played with Cam, but all in all, I’m happy that Cam remains. Unfortunately, who knows what the tides of the future is going to hold as it seems a lot of people are leaving within that camp, I hope they find ways to keep it all together.

The new track is decent, but the production (assuming it’s fully finished) is terrible and far below the abilities of Mr. Endino. Also it seems to rather bland with doom qualities to it (sadly i am making a connection with the cover art), so I hope they aren’t taking too much liberty with stylistic changes.

All in all, I can’t wait to hear it.
