    I LOVE IT!
im just REALLLY FUCKING GLAD its not constitutional masterbations as the single. cause really think about it when mayhem fest rolls around and then there headlining tour ull have thousands of people screaming “I, MAAASTTTEERRBATE! ” yaaaa akward moments . but this vide and album just kik ass no more death core for them its a HUGE step forward.

  • john phenomenon

nothing special if you ask me.. plus they seem like dbags. just one man’s opinion.

I think you should know by now that telling people to ‘enjoy’ this Hot Topic Metal is quite an insult to your readers.

    • john phenomenon

but their album art is so original and song titled like ‘constitutional masturbation’ are ever so clever! i kid, f this band. NEXT!

  • iolanach

    No thanks.

  • BlakMetalistKrieg

*groan* These guys can play, but it’s still typical death metal: technical, brutal, yet completely devoid of riffs or anything memorable. Seriously, I could listen to this, a dying fetus record, and an abysmal dawn record and I wouldn’t be able to tell the difference. Death metal really could have stopped after the 90′s, It’s all been done. But if your a death metal fan and you want new death metal to listen to, just turn on your blow-dryer and listen to that for 40 minutes.

    • http://myspace.com/rican_zombie Andres

Pretty much. This shit is completely unoriginal and devoid of life.
Its really is just noise. Where are the riffs? Solos that you’ll actually remember? Mehhh.
As far as Death Metal goes, I just listen to Melodic Death metal bands, they at least incorporate melody and catchy riffs into their songs, this shit just sucks balls.

    • cyrollan

      does someone’s vag hurt?

      • http://www.facebook.com/people/Andrs-C-Ruiz/692879149 Andrés C. Ruiz

Yeah, mine does. Thats why I hate this kind of death metal. Makes my vag all tingly.

While I agree with your assessment of JFAC’s latest (and Dying Fetus is pretty uninspired as well), I don’t think you can throw that description onto all death metal. Suffocation is still kicking ass.

      • Cannibal Chris

what the fuck are you guys talking about?jfac has made a very sick step out of their shitty deathcore era.and dying fetus and abysmal dawn kick ass.im an old school death metal fan and i fuckin approve!

  • metalguy

    Heres my thoughts
    -decent song
    - a step up from Genesis, which sounded like kids who cant play anything but deathcore play death metal. this sounds more like doom with only growls and no breakdowns or pig squels
i would also like to say that just because they progressed from deathcore to death metal doesnt mean they can make great death metal. so many people are saying that “ohh thank god their not deathcore now i can listen to them” this sounds soo much like their ep theres no way you couldnt like both

    • Viridian

      My thoughts exactly

      • hate-crew

i agree 100%. honestly ive liked all their releases and can definitley see your point.

    • Phro

This is actually the first time I’ve really listened to them, but…

Yah, I think I agree. I was thinking more blackened death (or deathened black? heh) than doom, but whatever. The whiny high pitched screams are annoying as shit too. The first (and possibly only) riff has a nice groove to it but…if this were the only death metal a person had ever heard, I think they could be forgiven for finding death metal derivative and boring.

Who knows maybe I’ll listen to something else by them and completely change my mind.

  • NORDINI

as far as i know the video from that shoot was supposed to be regurgitated disinformation or am i wrong ? good but not a great vid btw!

    • Dr J

I thought i recalled reading that on thier myspace. This is a better song anyway.

  • Bicro

I wanted to like this record, I really did….It just seems bland in comparison to Genesis, and even DOOM.

  • Tyler

Doesn’t JFAC realise that Suffocation has a new album out so there’s no reason for them to exist anymore.

  • http://schenkeltown.blogspot.com Daisy May Tinklepants

like the jfac wallpaper on this site wasn’t enough…..how do their balls taste?

  • Daniel

At least they’re distancing themselves from deathcore a little. It’s a step in the right direction.

  • SonOF

    Sounds pretty decent.

The chant of “JOB!” is awfully retarded however. Too bad they don’t have a cool acronym.

  • thebenthic

im way stoked for this album. plus evangelion is comming out this summer as well soo dope.

how can anyone say this sounds like doom? whoever does is way gay.

  • Charlie B

    Boring.

  • Strep Townsend

This band does nothing for me, and this video makes me wonder how they ever got a record deal in the first place.

  • crank

All the fucking hate, I don’t get it! This band is 1,000x better than most of the other shit being posted here lately. Well maybe not 1,000, but certainly 10x better.

  • ryan

job for a cowboy fucking sucks!
whoever likes this band needs to listen to real death metal like necrophagist or suffocation

    • hate-crew

      i do…and i like this just as much… : |

  • Daniel

They are following The Black Dahlia Murder steps now, it’s not a bad thing but surely unoriginal.

  • Solaceinnothing

    Sigh, it breaks my heart.

JFAC is a band that has never given into trends, they have only started them. Whether its amalgamating the influence of tech death and metalcore ala Doom, completely breaking out of their own sound and delving into conceptual metal with Genesis, or now expanding upon a their progressive influence, they have always been a band that did what they wanted to do and only catered to themselves.

That is balls, that is metal, and that’s why they have such a loyal fan base and have made such a loyal fan of me.

I am fortunate to be old enough to appreciate the origins of extreme metal but still young enough to appreciate a true band that have done everything a young band should do in its own stardom, which is why its such a pity that they still seem to get all the grief.

It is ironic that now JFAC are to be considered a straight death metal band, because there are influences on Ruination that go beyond that. Which is why, for you tough guy wannabe name droppers, one can be able to appreciate JFAC, Necrophagist, and Suffocation all at the same time.

    • hate-crew

THANKYOU FOR NOT BEING A TOTAL DOUCHE BAG

    • alex

      word, word, word.

  • Jake

i really dig these guys, and this is a decent song, and way better than anything on genesis, but nothing they have written has compared to doom. i wanna see that JFAC side again. i think the main reason i really dig these guys is because they don’t try to do really too complicated stuff, they just jam. pretty gnar… looking forward to the new album.
