The same could be said about the List.
I’m still trying to figure out what the point of the List was in the end. Most of us realize that it was 90% bullshit, and even for those that listen to the garbage that was included, it has no impact on our lives, as MS isn’t the say-all and end-all of music (and especially not metal). I’m guessing it was just a ploy to offer a laughable discount to get people to spend money. Thoughts?

Next time I’m forced to watch a shitty metalcore band open up for a really good band, I’ll do the crabcore dance during their set instead of just taking a piss break.
You could probably do the crabcore dance AND take a piss break… you’d be low enough no one would notice.
Attack Attack! exemplify the baffling phenomenon of Christian bands having the absolute worst taste in music. This is true across nearly all genres and doesn’t start breaking down until you go back in time to old gospel, spirituals and blues and maybe further back to fucking BACH.
I just don’t understand what it is about explicitly Christian musical acts that prevents them from having any taste at all.
I’ve forced myself to watch the Stick Sticky video several times and I’m still, STILL, extra-horrified every time that terrible euro-house dance beat kicks in at the end. And that’s after all the epic LULZ generated by the autotuned vocals, the ridiculous performance antics, the silly piano breakdown… and, uh, really every single other aspect of the song and the video.
Theocracy (power metal) and Antestor (black metal) both make very good music, and they’re Christian.
That may be true (I haven’t heard them yet) but I think you’d have to admit that if so they’re in the extreeeeeeeeme minority.
Yes, they are in the extreme minority, but it good Christian music does exist.
