THROUGH THE EYES OF THE DEAD AIN’T DEAD YET
Thursday, July 9th, 2009 at 11:00am by Axl RosenbergI have kind of a love/hate relationship with Twitter, but I have to admit, it’s become a useful source of information.
So. Through the Eyes of the Dead, whose 2007 album Malice was actually capable of killing small animals, have suffered through some fairly heavy-duty line-up changes since that album’s release (including going through two vocalists inside of a year). The band endures, though, and are currently recording a new album. Meanwhile, they tweeted/twittered/twatted/twote/whatever that they’re playing four dates in August. I highly recommend you go check ‘em out.
Dates are after the jump. In the meantime, here’s the band’s video for “Failure in the Flesh.” The Romero-esque goodness was directed by David Brodsky.
8/11 – Rockos – Manchester, NH
8/12 – Webster Underground – Hartford, CT
8/13 – Hangar 84 - Vineland, NJ
8/14 – Peekskill Elks Lodge – Peekskill, NY

TTEOTD slays! Interested to hear their new stuff. “Bloodlust” still owns everything that any band in their genre has put out…
I dont think any of the guys who played on Bloodlust are in the band anymore. Three of them however formed a band called Gates of Valor. The record: Salarian Gate slays.
I love both albums by this band, but Nate Johnson on Malice is so great it will be hard to top him. Either way though I really hope they can get their shit toghether and keep a functioning line up.
I agree, Nate did an awesome job on malice. I saw them with Nate and then again with the other guy and Nate was soooo much better. I hope they get someone who can replicate the brutal growls that he did on Malice.
Nate made this band for me.
*Graves* of Valor… wonder if they are ever going to review on here?
truth, my bad
I know their new vocalist personally. Danny Rodriguez, slays Nate Johnson.
Sorry, but danny really knows how to take the stage and make the show interesting, as well as heavy.
He would do his growls over a PA at the laser tag place he used to work at here in Chicago.
TTEOTD now has a front man.
Thats awesome man. Im pumped to hear it. I have never heard the guys vocals at all. Has he been in any other bands, or anywhere I can get sneak peak of the dudes pipes?
I absolutely love TTEOD. Two Inches From A Main Artery gets my blood pumping every time. Seen them live like 4 times with both Anthony and Nate (I personally loved Anthony on vox). Can’t wait for their new material (and to see them live soon again).
