50,000 UNSTOPPABLE WATTS!
Tuesday, July 14th, 2009 at 10:50am by Vince NeilsteinThis has got to be the best and most fitting name for a Clutch song in the history of ever.
Clutch are like the Slayer of stoner/blues rawk — they just keep doing what they’ve always been doing, despite changing trends and musical climates, and they keep doing it well. Not that Clutch was ever part of any specific trend to begin with; these guys have always forged their own path. Like I’ma do with this sweet machete I just got as soon as I get back down to the Kentucky MS Mansion Annex in a coupla weeks.
Anthrax! Ham Radio! And liquor! Clutch’s new record Strange Cousins From the West comes out today on Weathermaker Music.

Fuck you Mtv.com , that song is awesome btw.
Awesome. Also, I would love a Clutch shirt that said “the Slayer of stoner blues rawk”.
I would much rather see this than anything by Motionless in White on Headbangers Ball. this at least makes me want to bang my head and not put a bullet in it.
Clutch>all
hmm… I think that this was the first time I listened to a Clutch song. Thought about it for a while and concluded that they’re AWESOME! Because they sound just like The Jon Spencer Blues Explosion played by old(er) men! Even though they’re about the same age I guess…
Go back further- Transnational Speedway League, Robot Hive, Spacegrass…. it’s all out there.
Your classic 20 year overnight success.
Clutch = ftw.
nice song x crap video
Can’t wait to see these guys in two weeks with the almighty Baroness. Could be the show I am looking forward to the most this year.
the most fitting name for a clutch song to me would be metalsucks isn’t into sumeriandeathXcore since there’s no review for A Higher Place or Ruination
Video is eh, but the world can always use more footage of Neil Fallon shouting.
Fuck yes. I picked up my copy today already and have listened to it a couple of times. ALBUM OF THE FUCKING YEAR.
Also… pretty spiffy video. Neil Fallon’s got a sweet beard.
Not in canada, LAAAAAAAME
I picked up the CD today and it’s got some great artwork in it. Fold out panels, posters, etc. Its worth your hard earned monies.
The Woodsman’s Pal is no fucking joke.
Good. Shit.
album rules
Saw them on Saturday in Chicago. One of the best live bands on planet Earth. New album is excellent.
BTW–if any of you see them on this tour, go early to check out Lionize. Okay band, but they have one song that has the exact same chord changes as Pantera’s “I’m Broken”. It was fun watching the crowd one by one realize what they were hearing.
