Is this done by John Dyer Baizley?
It looks a bit like his work, but it just seems a little… unrefined to be his.

This album art is incredible, however you say this is the first non-grind album with art good enough to “knock your beard off;” dId Crack The Skye’s album art not knock your beard off? I know it’s a totally different style of art, but it’s no less awesome than this.
I hate CTS’s album art. I know I’m in the minority, but I just feel like it pales in comparison to Leviathan, Blood Mountain, and Remission, even Call of the Mastodon. In terms of art, of course.
I thought CTS art was rather weak too, especially compared to the work on all their prior albums
Yeah, Mastodon has awesome cover art, I also enjoy cover art by Dan Seagrave who has done covers for Suffocation and Dismember.

It gets a 3/5 for being average with 4 memorable songs on the entire album, it sucks compared to The New Reign…now STFU ABOUT THE REVIEW! lol
