I hate to admit this, but I used to love Slaves on Dope. I was on spring break in Panama City Beach, FL and it was horrible…but I saw that Slaves were playing at club La Vela. I convinced my drunken group to go w/ me and it was a blast!! They opened for the Union Underground. They were pretty good at Ozzfest too, at the time. There 2nd CD WAS SO HORRIBLE. I bought Metephore just to check it out, and it sounded like light rock Disturbed. I think the record producers got in there heads for some mainstream shiat. Oh well. It’s so very…nice to meet you…

Oh wow, I actually had two albums by this band. I prefered Inches From the Mainline, since the last one was beating a dead horse. However, the Inches album was nothing special, and the Metafour album was fucking weak, no wonder it was on clearance when I bought it lol.

I doubt nu metal can make a comeback. Maybe a few bands will have success on the nostalgia circuit, and a couple bands will be able to make full blown comebacks, but the genre is dead as dead can be. Or if nu metal does make a comeback, let’s hope that bands will actually do something interesting and creative with the genre so the term “nu metal” doesn’t leave such a bad taste in everyone’s mouths.
