I can tell you as fact that Zakk is never in charge of those things. This douchebag gladly took our extra 60 fucking dollars per ticket for the "privilege" of meeting him and hasn't delivered on what he promised. It's been nearly 3 months now and after several phone calls and hundreds of e-mails we still don't have what we paid for. Fuck Zakk right in his ass. He should just go away. I'm one of those white-trashed mouth-breathers who make up his fanbase, no doubt. I don't think the guy hung the moon or that he's the best in the world or anything, but the guy played a very big part in my return to the metal 8 or 9 years ago (I was into metal a lot growing up and kind of fell out of it in the late 90's). I'll be the first to say his schtick has gotten a little stale and his last few albums have been formulaic and average at best. All his detractors always bring up the pinch-harmonics and the non-stop scales in his soloing, which has been true for the last few years. But with Pride & Glory, Book of Shadows, and the first 2 (maybe 3) BLS albums were killer and the guy had a good bit of variety on there. He's one of those guys who CAN play bad-ass, but for some reason really hasn't in the last good while (not unlike many other musicians who've been around a while). Hopefully this change will be good for the guy (maybe he can cut back on the booze) and maybe he can re-evaluate what he wants to do in music and actually take the time to write/record a good album again and not just record every half-ass riff he ever thought of. Oh yeah, and for the record, I met the guy at a little meet-n-greet signing thing at Ozzfest (I believe it was '03) and you couldn't have asked for a cooler guy. It was the last show on the tour and West Palm Beach in August is no place you want to be standing around outside all day signing shit. Unlike the other bands there, he made sure to take a good two minutes with each person and signed whatever they brought up and tried to make every person feel like his friend.
