If this afternoon’s post about Shrinebuilder and A Storm of Light wasn’t enough to get you doom lovers off, here’s another bit of news that might help you bust a nut tonight: the MetalSucks-sponsored North America is Doomed tour kicks off next Saturday, August 1st! The tour features Zoroaster (who our own Kip W. affectionately pronounces “Zo-Roaster”), The Gates of Slumber and Serpentcult, and kicks off August 1st in Chicago, snaking its way through Eastern Canada, the Northeast U.S. and Midwest, and wraps up August 14th in Indianapolis.

Sounds like an awesome tour, I like the ad a lot too

Man, I can’t rightfully understand how someone can book a doom/sludge tour and not come through the south. Consider me bummed.

I feel the same way! I live in Florida and we get fucked over all the time! Here’s how I see it: I think some bands just figure that its more productive to just take a left at Georgia instead of a right (or a right instead of going straight) because Florida is a large state and if you went to Miami you would have to turn right back around and spend 7-8 hrs getting out of the state, instead of rolling right through to the next state like you do with virtually every other state.

I will be at the indy date for sure
