The Arkaea album is fine. From an instrumental point of view, it souds like Fear Factory, with a meatier Archetype sort of production job.

And being a big fan of Threat Signal, I like John Howard but admittedly he doesn’t really suit the sort of material on the Arkaea album (particularly the amount of cleans required). People need to check out Under Reprisal and they will see how much better he is suited to his own band.

I’m not. I’d much rather hear Fear Factory meets SYL than have the 2 of them back in the band. I could give less than a rat’s ass about all this fairy ass, back and forth, bitchfest bullshit. All that matters to me is the resulting music and on that level, there’s really no contest.

I think Bell has the right idea with what he is doing and to be playing with Hoglan is an excellent move.
Arkaea would be better if they used a different vocalist and I don’t have much to go on in terms of Divine Heresy since I’ve only heard their first album, I will put it to you this way, it didn’t take me very long to turn around and trade it in.

Say what you will about Arkaea (which I personally have no intention of listening to), but Christian and Raymond are both handling this much more maturely than Dino and Burton.

I gotta say though that the new divine heresy stuff sounds a lot better than anything off the arkaea album.

Shame about Jon Howard, I thought he sounded amazing on threat signals under reprisal but I guess it was just studio trickery? Here’s hoping the new TS album will make up for it.

Musically Arkaea is fine, but yeah those vocals fucking suck. Most of the album was originally written for Fear Factory anyway, I’d love to hear what Burton would have added to it. Oh well…

Dino is a fat, talentless, piece of shit. I had the misfortune of seeing Divine Heresy live and it was one of the worst concert experiences I’ve ever had. The rest of the Fear Factory guys should stay away from him.
