That fact that she likes deathcore upgrades my indifference to fervent dislike. I’m no tr00 kvltist (OK, I listen to a lot of tr00 kvlt stuff, but I also like 80′s Metallica and Tarja era Nightwish), but deathcore is basically death metal dumbed down for moronic teenagers (like Miss Lovato) going through puberty whose raging hormones blind them to the utter shitness of the music.

Deathcore (along with nu-metal and all other core sub genres with the exception of grindore) is a disgrace and an embarrassment to the great genre of metal.

Here’s the way I look at it… If you are a musician who plays pop music but likes metal, good for you. BUT, if you are a DISNEY musician that likes metal, you are basically stabbing your own musical taste in the back by supporting and WORKING FOR the bastards that shove Jonas Brothers down the throat of today’s youth.

She can work for Disney and still be a metalhead. There’s nothing wrong with that. And fellow metalheads, I don’t see how her love for metal has anything to do with her hotness or her incapability to front a metal band. Sexist much?

Glad that she’s a metalhead. Still, I question her taste in metal. It’s true that she has the right to listen to whatever she wants. I personally don’t find JFAC and AW to be all that amazing, I’m sure there are people who would agree with me. But … that’s just me.

@ lol = I couldn’t agree with you more. Not all deathcore bands are shitty, there are decent deathcore bands out there, but most deathcore bands are, sadly, shitty. and PsyOpus is no exception. Their new album seems like a joke to me.

Don’t play the rip off card, no ones original. No matter who you are, what music you play or how old you are, someone slightly older and “truer” is saying you ripped off someone else.
I get that rehashes suck, it actually bugs me to. I listen to old shit. I like old shit. I hear the rip offs. I don’t care. A good riff is a good riff, and a good song is a good song. You gotta just realize that after so many years originality is rare, if not completely instinct. Being a good musician and a good artist means you write music that is true to yourself, and its one in a million that its something mind blowingly new and innovative.
What is true? Those from my generation (25 and under) are gonna say bands from 2019 are ripping off the bands they listened to growing up. The older say that those bands ripped off the ones from their generation, so on so forth. Some dude 10-15 years older than you probably says something along the same longs (assuming your not like 40 or something, in which case, why do you care?)
Thats great. I like my shit.
