I agree. Most Townsend fans can appreciate all of his work. For example, I’m not a huge fan of Devlab or The Hummer. I’m just not really into ambient. But, I can still respect and appreciate what he was trying to accomplish. You just really cannot deny the fact that the man is a complete genius.

Agreed…most of these people miss the point of the record entirely.
Anyone who knows Devs body of work can appreciate KI, and if this album isn’t heavy enough for you simpletons then go listen to Ocean Machine or Physicist.

It’s a love/hate kinda album. I do like mellow, ambient stuff…But seriously, what was the point of one Brit-pop song, one Post-rock song, one Nu-metal song…? Obviously, he didn’t try hard on this record.

lol, if only you understood the legacy that is Devin Townsend and you wouldnt sound like such a closed minded fucking douche…learn your musicians man, and dont worry…the,”trendy ass alternative garbage” will get heavier with the albums that follow this….this entire album was meant to lay low and be mellow. DOESNT mean its still not technical, listen to the bass lines that run under his leads…or wait, “The low booming noises over the shitty alternative guitar.”
