FANGORIA GOES BEHIND-THE-SCENES OF CRADLE OF FILTH’S “THE DEATH OF LOVE”

Metal and horror just kinda naturally go hand-in-hand. They’re both forms are art that exist on the fringes of “normal” society, they both often deal with violence and extreme situations/emotions, they’re both usually bleak as fuck. There’s a reason I discovered horror movies and metal music the same youthful summer, and a reason I started reading Fangoria and Metal Edge right around the same time.

So: once you’re done watching the awesome new Cradle of Filth clip we debuted earlier today, “The Death of Love,” head over to the aforementioned (and still awesome!) Fangoria, where they’re hosting a behind-the-scenes video, including an interview with Dani Filth himself. Dani has one of the only speaking voices in the world I enjoy listening to as much as my own. It’s the saucy British accent, I think.

Check out the video here.

    oy vey…

  • John

His face perfectly expresses how I feel about their music.

Dani Filth is a douche lord.

  • Cade

    Dani Filth=Cock Rider

  • John

Not to mention he’s like 1ft. tall.

  • Buh?

I’m going to be honest with you, I was scrolling past and thought the photo was a new pig-faced-boy member of Gwar.

Wow, I thought this website’s name was tongue-in-cheek, but apparently you all REALLY hate metal! Okay.

So as the one actual metal fan here, not only is Dani a fantastic singer (did his recent show in NYC with Bronchitis and still belted it out), but Cradle’s never been better, and this is perhaps their finest song. So THERE. You can all go back to listening to Blur or Oasis or whatever you normal “Metalsucks” people enjoy.

“Boys, who love boys, who hate metal, who love boys, but do boys who hate metal, love their boys…” and so on. ;) (Sorry for the double post, but I just thought of this.)

I love Metal, I just hate shitty metal like Cradle of Filth.

        I don’t believe you.

If you loved metal, and just didn’t like the Cradle, you’d at least respect what they’ve achieved. Every band evolves, and some people only like the first album or two, but a bands success is something you can’t deny, and that success raises the profile of metal in general, and that’s good for all metal.

So even if you don’t like the band’s work, not respecting them is foolish.

    Metal’s great, Cradle is not.

Also, when I saw the title, I thought COF got their own show on VH1.
